Bored Holiday Weekend Thread

Well yesterday we just bought our fourth Magnum, two for me and two for the wife..... guess I'll be detailin' all day ~ LOL

 

Spent the day filing and shredding and doing laundry. Planning on driving the family out to SMosher's house for some semi-festivities. Probably won't stay long enough to see anything blown up, but its something. After that, maybe go to the in-laws on Sunday or something and spend the next week cleaning house and getting stuff done since Marc's on furlough.

 

I put a brisket on the pit at 6pm tonight. Going to be tending to it every couple hours tonight. It should be done around 3pm tomorrow when my family will make our way over to Momo's house for some festivities and a pretty cool fireworks display at a park a few hundred yards away from Momo's house. Momo lives about a quarter mile away from the San Diego Olympic training center which does a killer 4th of July fireworks display!

 

Just got back from the track. Jim, from Yearwood, ran his best ever in his Corvette Door Slammer. 7.86@173 on a 150 shot.

We upped the Nawz to a 250 shot and Jim brought the fronts up two feet, came out of the groove and let off. lol Yea, if we can't figure out how to keep the tires down, Jim will need to add wheelie bars. lol

We will drop back down to a 150 shot tomorrow.

Oh yea, Jim holds the number 1 spot (so far) in qualifying in the Quick 8 class. hehe One more round of qualify and off to the semi finals. Woo hoo.

Wish you were here Hal, you and Cindy would have a blast.

 

Just getting up now. We're just having some sort of block party. You are more than welcome to stop by Hal!

 

<---will be going bowling with the family, then probably hit the pool, and end the day with a photo contest between me and the Mrs(to see who can get the better firework picture).

Finishing off some metal work and then I get to clean the living crap out of the shop area so tomorrow I can yank a motor and tear it down and start some internal work.

Man all of us shoulda got together at Cam's shop and watched him work on the motor! LOL! Happy 4th to all, I get to work.

 

Ya buddy, ya shoulda been here yesterday, 16 hours of sparks and fireworks.........it was great :crying:

just got out of the pool. spent the day yesterday with my wife on our local golf course. shot an 88 on badly punched (aireated) and sanded greens!! ball did not roll in a line all day!!! argh!! followed golf with a nice lunch with just me and my wife, followed by picking up our son and going to old town to hang out with all the flxc guys!!! showed off the blower to most of them for the first time and counted how many people asked me if i had a turbo..... lol

today went to a flag ceramony in the morning, spent some time in the pool, and now getting ready to go over to some friends house for more food, drink, and blowing shit up!!!

I'm just working. Double time today is nice, except that we're out of stuff to do so I'll only get a half-day.

Oh well. At least I'll get the afternoon off. I'm pretty sure I'm doing a cradle shift and rewiring a throttle body plug (thanks Techco) on a Charger tonight.

 

Waxing the RV and getting it ready for an outing next weekend at the lake.
