after nearly three years...

so i got my first modified exhaust ticket two days ago, after nearly three years of owning the srt. the funny thing is my exhaust is as quiet as stock when the cutout is closed and the cop still said "your car is very very loud." i thought this was all very strange seeing that right before they pulled me over the cops stopped next to me at the light (two very young cops) and gave me an excited look and a thumbs up. before they let me go they told me "watch out dude cops are on the lookout tonight dont go speeding anywhere."

After over five years of ownership, I have yet to get a modified exhaust ticket. *knocks on wood*

I have, however, had a cop tell me to turn off my car cause it was too loud while he was writing my speeding ticket :dumb:

 

well i thought it would never happen to me for one because i drive pretty conservatively and two because its one of the quieter srt's in town. good luck to you on not receiving one in the future.

 

I remember when i got a ticket for my stock exhaust being too loud.
i told the cop that he needs to go and give the dealer the ticket because it stock.

then he decided to give me an additional ticket for my music being too loud. i was taking one of my buddys home and we didnt even have the radio on.
i went to court and it was thrown out.

 

HAHAHAHAHA...just out of curiosity how did you get the music one thrown out? Did the cop not even show up?

 

i took pics in to show the judge that it was the stock radio and no system and stock exhaust

 

Thats crazy man. Eff the cops that have nothing better else to do.

I live in Kansas, no worry for exhaust tickets.

 

oh and the fact that i was comming from church when i was pulled over helped too.

Seems like some cool Officers but felt the need to give you a ticket anyways.
