Hello to all! I just had a few questions... 1)Does anyone know if the Chargers have the manual option yet? I heard rumors that they would, but I never heard if they did. (SRT, RT) 2)Also, does anyone have a review of the 3.6L for the new Chargers, or Challengers? Anyone bought one, or driven one? I'm really excited to see how Dodge's new V6 is, compared to the last. 3) Lastly, anyone have an answer on the Avenger SRT? ... I totally think they should make it, and I've heard rumors... but no hard facts. Thanks! :bye: Have a swell day!
I haven't really kept up on the next iteration of Chargers after my Charger's generation, but I do know that there will not be a 2011 Charger SRT until at the very earliest late in the model year since they are evidently refreshing the crap out of it. New Charger as in 2011+ or 2006+? And did you mean 3.5L? I hear they are great if you're into V6s. I'm evidently a gas-guzzling mad-with-power type so I have no idea. I've heard about a Hornet SRT but that's apparently to replace the old Neon SRT, as a four-cylinder variant. It'd be nice if they'd get around to replacing the Crossfire SRT with another V6 SRT, but I haven't seen anything. Who knows considering they seem to be making some in-roads with marketing lately. <Not an expert on any of this, just what I get through the grapevine from assorted sources> -Tam
Hey thanks! ^_^ I've done some looking online, and I've been surprised at how many people are doing things to their V6 Chargers! I believe I've honestly found more people that have modified the V6's than I have for the V8's... (yes I look at car parts and stuff for a car I don't even have.) lol My wife and I were looking for a Charger to replace her Suzuki... she actually wanted a Charger! I about near fell over when we first started talking about it... Wound up with a SUV though. Anyhoo. What I've heard is the 3.5L is getting replaced with a 3.6L V6 that makes 290 some odd hp. If I could get one, I'd totally go for the SRT, screw gas mileage! I don't mind 15mpg. Also, I heard that they might stuff that new 3.6 into the Avenger, as a replacement for the SRT6, but who knows. The Hornet sounds pretty cool! ^_^ Honestly I say they make a Chrysler 'Cudda since they killed off poor Plymouth. The Prowler was the sweetest ride I've ever driven! A close second was the Viper GTS, but you get waaay more looks in the Prowler!
Hey Stevo! ^_^ Thanks for your $0.02. lol That's about what I thought, and it's nice to hear I'm on the same page as others. Also, I can forgive 'em if they don't make any new SRT's... as long as they stay outta the hands of the Chinese! I heard a rumor from my brother that the Chinese are looking to buy part of GM... now I'm not a Chevy fan... by any means, but that'd just be sad.
