The motor itself is the same.The front cover,oil pan,intake manifold and exhaust manifolds are different from truck to car. Generally 392CI is the max stroke on a 5.7 with a few extreme examples going 400+ ci. The 400+ motors will need to have the blocks sonic checked to make sure there is enough wall thickness in the cylinder wall to take a larger bore.
Ok cause I found a long block for 400 bucks with the bottom end blown up. And I figure do a little stroker kit cause I'm to broke to buy an srt lol
doesn't the car 5.7 have the variable displacement or some junk like that? I know its easy enough to delete, but /shrug
if hes looking at a trucks block...depends on the year...05 and before didnt...06 and after did i believe
