In the quest for whats really going on at launch my good friend Jake "AKA" Bomber, took this video so we could see whats really going on. Theres alot to learn from this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhBrjoTwb_I
That is some awesome stuff right there, Chris. Great wrinkle on that launch. 12psi looks to be the sweet spot for our fat pigs on slicks.
She hooked well but there was a little slip towards the end. Driving on water balloons takes a bit of getting used to. When you bud gets back Id like to discuss options with him.
You got it. Jim is the MAN at calculating suspension. You need to see his Outlaw go down the 1320. Straight as an arrow.
Looks to me you need air. Late in the vid, your driving over the wrinkle. That means you need air. It also means you need more converter. Your hitting the tires soft and more power comes ON as you move forward. Now,,,, you will probably cause more issues with a higher stall converter hitting harder off the line. I'm just making an observation.
Thanks Ron cause the pucker factor is pretty crazy right now, i feel like im on Ice from the 1/8 to the trap! Every run is a roller coaster ride!
Good point. I completely missed that one. lol We also discussed the issue of weight of our cars. Slicks might not be the best application for a two ton boat on slicks?
