2008 MSRT8 Halos Installed Ok here is the story my 06 had focuztech halos. And I wanted them on the 08 I just got. I like the LED's but everyone I have seen looks like a kid missing teeth lol. Meaning that in time some of the LED's burn out? Anyway the hunt for halos ended real quick the only company making them is AAC? So I was stuck going to them! I had a real bad experience with them and the 06 but again I was stuck using them. Anyway I got the larger halos hoping that they would not break. So off I went with the install it was a hell of a lot harder to break them open then the 06's. Once they were cracked open I painted the housings black. Once the paint dryed I installed the halos and checked them before I put everything back together. Let the glue set overnight and the next evening I put the headlights back together another night of letting the glue for the housing set. And this morning I started the install. Let me say that you have to take the front bumper off there is no way around this. In the 06 you could push down in front of the headlight and get a socket in there. But on the 08 because of the way the front bumper is one piece to the hood it just has to come off. Anyway got them in wired them up for a test before I got the bumper back on and they worked. Now I hard wired everything got the bumper on. And turned on the headlights. Now let me back up. I said I did a test wiring before I hard wired. I did it by pulling the turn signal bulb out and taping were the bulb goes in. When I hard wired I taped the wires for the turn signal bulb. Now I turn on the headlight walk to the front of the car to look at my great work and i see smoke! What the hell! What AAC inverters are famous for but I thought they fixed this problem? I ran turn the headlights off and checked the inverters and yes both started to smoke! Anyway I luckily still had a set of focuztech inverters the spares for the 06 and wired them up. Work's fine!! Took the car out with them on for a 30 minute drive no problems. Why won't AAC deal with the inverters before they set someones car on fire I will never know. Anyway here they are! By the way does anyone have focuztech inverters laying around I really would like to buy them off of you! Focuztech is no more?
Wow, nice job. Those are major halos. Looking good. (have to say, outside of the rarity of your car, '06 Magnums are just ... better )
