This is my best DashHawk run thus far with the modified (fuel added) Predator 93cai tune. 45 degrees out yesterday. If history is any indication the DashHawk is usually .1-.2 off but I wouldn't be surprised if it was even quicker. That is, my DH usually gives quicker times...but what a great tool! Each time I tested out changes in the car and then went to the track I was .1 and .2 off respectively. Can't wait until things settle down here so I can blast down that 1320 again. Yesterday felt good reaching speeds of 125 mph like it was nothing. Love this car.
I bogged it out of the hole since I only revved to about 1100 rpm and let off the brake a bit to quick, but was happy enough to drive home after that. I also noticed I hit the limiter some from 2-3rd which caused a delay. I will try to return to stock shift points and see how that works out.
Cold Air and more "break in" miles makes the HEMI a happy Engine. Those are great times Milan! Are you doing any big mods for summer???
The cash is there for heads, cam, headers and a custom tune...but I've been going back and forth for a while now lol..one thing I'm wanting is to keep my core so this may cause a delay. The more I see these cars with an opened up intake and coated intake, a nice aftermarket cam, the more I'm convinced the heads and headers do a pretty good job left untouched. I guess it's really how fast you want to go in the end. For me, reliability and driveability are priority 1. It's one of the reasons I've taken the Torque converter out of the equation. I have no desire to roast my tires too easy with the TC....with more power, it becomes inevitable but I will be widening my rear rims and throwing on something bigger than a 275. What I'm thinking is a mid-range cam (like the littleboy or something along those lines), ported, polished and coated intake, custom tune and some wider tires for now. I really like the Mondello heads as well though and Stu's heads are awesome too. haha. I'll keep you in the loop Kayce since I know, although you have a Jeep, you've mulled things over about as much. haha :beerchug:
The graph doesn't look like you hit the rev limiter. You can see where you broke traction on the 1-2 shift though :yes:Should see a flat spot, or flat downward spot, right at the peak and maybe at the bottom after the shift on the rpm curve. I had some graphs of that but apparently I dumped them. This is the only thing I could find from before the shift/TCM TSB. Bumped the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift. By the way, you know you can configure what extra 2 pids to log on the quarter mile run in the settings profile on your PC. Logging the narrowband O2 sensors is kind of useless. Something like timing and knock retard is good to know. Go into settings editor, then the settings tab, then in the lower left quarter of the screen you have Data Logging Configuration and under that Qtr Mile Parameters.
Thanks Dave...I will do that. I need to set it up so that I can log the KTR and timing on each run. During the 2-3rd shift I did feel a hesitation like it tapped the limiter so when I saw that the line touches 6500, I assume that's what happened.
I'm still not sure what "raised shift points" sets the rev limiter to. I thought it was 6500 but then someone was saying they did raised shift points and raised the rev limiter on top of that (+200) and it put the rev limiter at 6750. Keep in mind that with the sample rate on the DH you can miss some rpm at a "sharp" peak. Look at a run log, click the pause button at the bottom of the screen, then drag the verticle bar into the middle of 1st gear. Then use the right arrow key to step it one sample at a time and you can get a good idea of how many rpm can happen between samples.
In the infamous Predator pre-release thead (http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=72459) they were "illuding" to the fact we could change shift points. That would be PERFECT. Hopefully with DiabloSport opening up the TCM we may be able to do this. Thye also stated there is a "tip in" adjustment (which is how fast the throttle responds when you "floor it") that they increased with r16a, this would be nice for us to have to "play with" also.
