:ilovesrtc: Dude quit telling everyone about our special seceret mod you and I have it makes long road trips more eventful just ask legmaker I hooked him up with one-LOL:bang: BTW Greek did the hamster situation ever work out????

I will tell you this the techs and service manager at Karr Hunter Pontiac in Waco were awesome this guy has been using the Hunter for 4 years and knew quickly the last person who roadforced them had no clue as to what he was doing. The 2 that were in good shape were both at 18 and by the time he turned the tire on the rim and rebalanced he had them both down to 5 now that is awesome and all they charged me was 15.00 since they could not get the other 2 balanced right. I will be going back there when the 2 new Toyos come in Monday.

THIS IS A LESSON LEARNED WHEN YOU GET NEW TIRES CALL AROUND AND SHOP FOR ROAD FORCE BALANCER TECHS AND DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN DOING IT. I WILL NEVER HAVE A TIRE MOUNTED AGAIN UNLESS IT IS DONE ON A HUNTER

Tires in the high 20's are not bad tires, they just have to be rotated a little. Toyos are not a perfect tire, which is understandable considering the diameter and the fact they are a performance tire. When I first mounted my 22 Toyos, a couple of the roadforces said 50-60. With a little work we got them all down to 20 or below. (which is really good for a 3 piece 22) If he told you it was a bad tire he was just lazy. If it would have said 70 on the scale he would have had something to complain about. Your gonna have roadforce problems with any tire on a 20 or larger wheel. The balancer will tell him where he has to rotate the tire to, and that will usually make it pretty good. With mine we had to try a few combinations, but in the end we got it worked out. If you wanna get new tires go for it, but it is basically just the luck of the draw. Its a guess when you go to mount them up, the mark on the wheel and the mark on the tire basically mean nothing. One little bend in your rim will screw it all up....

They tried everything and even moved the tire around on the rim in several spots but I guess he was being anal about it and he was not happy with it being over 20

Sorry to hear about your issues Wade. Glad to see problem is soon to be fully solved. I'm getting a wee bit of a vibration at high speeds now at 18500K on the stockers. I'm thinking of rotating them side to side and see if it does anything as there is still some life in them.

Guys, find you a good tire shop that does tire truing. Spend about 20 bucks a tire and they will ride great. Most people think you lose a lot of rubber and tire life thru truing but that is just not right. I know people that install new tires, drive them several hundred miles and have them trued at that time, they ride great.
