I forgot to be specific... it is the SRT lineup. I will look for the article... but I think it may have been tossed out. SCRATCH THAT! Found it. SRT Edge, Fall 07 "Chassis enhancements on the 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 include SRT-tuned dampers, tailored spring rates and suspension bushings, and anti-sway bars. The ride height is one-half inch lower and..."
Look at the 2007 literature and then the 2006 literature. If you substitute the year it's the same... anywhere they specify this is an enhancement from last year's model?
So Jason didn't actually contribute anything helpful, he just contributed (non-helpful information) in a helpful way. That about it? I remember something about that. Sounded like more of a change in damping/rebound than different shocks? Not a ride height change though.
Jason, Good job buddy:kiss:. Dam I think this is the only time I can post a thread. Chris must be blocking all of us, so he can catch RON. :dance4:Chris must be Drew's new posting bytch:cheers:. My wife doesn't even talk as much as he types:surprise:.
OK you son's a bytches... I TRY and do something USEFUL and you bust my balz. I'm trying to turn a new leaf here... Fuk it. I'm back to being totally useless.
You're right. We were completely out of line and intolerant. We really should have recognized the effort you're making to do the right thing and should have encouraged that. It's tough turning over a new leaf to start contributing useful information and it certainly won't happen overnight. It will take a lot of work. Baby steps. You can rest assured that we're behind you on this one now. Encouragement, props, a little behind the scenes help, whatever you need to help you be successful in this new endevor. Go ahead, give it another try. You'll see. :yahoo::thumb::thumb2: (by the way, did you give the taser another try to make sure you didn't run down the batteries last time you passed out with it?)
errr, ummm, you sure about that? Is it possible that KW just makes part of it? Is it possible that KW makes it to DCXs specs? It may not have the same internals as the V1's or be the same at all.
Got the green light from the CFO(i.e. Wife)! I'll be ordering the KW Coilovers Variant 2/Hotchkis Swaybar tomorrow!!
I've been waiting for a thread like this, here's my 2 cents since I just put on Mopar coilovers and sways. Mixed. Maybe it's because most of you have KWs and most of you have Chargers but I'm not having the same reaction to them on my MSRT8 as you all are. Ride quality is not better, it's worse as it is with all cars that have been lowered with stiffer suspensions. You lose ride height, you lose wheel travel and you lose ride comfort, that's the trade off. If you've read any of my other posts you'll know that I'm a fan of the stock suspension, great handling and smooth ride. I'm also a huge fan of switchback driving, moreso than the drags and over the years I've owned and ridden in numerous great handling cars and I have to say stock the MSRT8 is pretty dang good, good enough to stick with a modified S2000 in the twisties! And don't get me wrong, I do feel the car handles better with the Mopars but for the daily drive I'm just feeling too much of the road, every little imperfection and too much bouncing. Very tight and precise though but just too harsh. My impressions of the stock suspension were it pushed the F1s right to their limit, which is pretty good. Now with the Mopar coilovers/sways it seems to need a better tire to take it to the limit. Rick, what are those tires, Verd something?? Are they that good? Noisey? Mileage? I'm wondering if the Mopars are that different from the KWs you guys have. I know the Mopars say "made by KW" but I wonder if they're different. Any of you seen the front Mopars? There are 2 coils, a small one and then a larger one on top of it, it's very interesting. Are the KWs that way too? I wonder if that's it. Or is it because I have a Mag and not a Charger that I'm getting different results? Any thoughts anyone? Again all this is IMO, just giving my thoughts and feelings. Discuss please, especially anyone else with Mopar coilovers.
