Well, I guess it wasbound to happen sooner or later. Not even a door ding for over two years. Leaving a friend of mines son's B-Day party, I was driving out of the parking lot when this woman decides to cut through the parking spaces instead of driving around where she was supposed to, looking to her left the whole time plows straight into the driver's side of my car pretty hard. I honked and tried to swerve out of the way, but she was going too quick. As I am white knuckled on the steering wheel saying a few choice words my two kids are wide eyed about, all I could see in my head was my my custom paint job jacked up! Knowing not to get out of the car right away in fear of beating the driver to death, Lol, I asked the kids if they were alright, and they just said "Dad.... you look awful mad"! Lol! I got out and the woman had the nerve to ask me if I was watching where I was going. I told her I was driving in a straight line in the road way, not the one cutting through the parking spaces only looking one way. Anyway... I looked at me car and wwow.... not a scratch on the car? It just so happened I was able to turn away just in time to take the impact on my wheel of all things. The wheel has to be replaced, but not a scratch on the paint. He car (2007 Malibu LS) has to replace the entire bumper, hood and right fender might need some Bondo. Lucky I guess. Looking back now, I think I handled it pretty good. Thought I would always kill someone if they messed up my Beast! Lol!
i would be in jail.... as soon as she said that....it would have been over.... I'd be in jail right now.... but at least its just the wheel...any suspension damage?....
Lucky bastard, I would have your brakes, calipers and whole hub assembly checked and anything connected to it, when my GF was hit very lightly from the back it sent body ripples thru the whole car and the whole frame had to be straightened
Oh and you had the big brembo 8 piston kit btw and they dont just sell one so you will need all 4-hint, hint
No noise, squeeking, rubbing, etc. Allignment still seems OK, but I am going to make them do one anyway.
WHO GIVES A RAT'S AZZ BOUT THAT IDIOT'S CAR?!?!? Drew, first off glad you and your youngins are ok, that's paramount. 2nd glad the cars ok, wheels are an easy fix, lucky you. And 3rd, I WOULDA KNOCKED THAT BIATCH ON HER AZZ if she had come at me like that!!!!!!! I can't stand idiot drivers, I really can't!! How do all these idiots get liscences anyway, it truly amazes me?!?! Don't they have to learn anything anymore in order to drive?!?! I would have been just like you, going mental in my head but having to keep it sane coming out my mouth (got 2 kids myself, 8 and 6). Good for you Drew and I'm a firm believer in "what goes around comes around," she'll get hers someday (sooner if you tell Markus, lol!).
Oh you know it baby. She wasn't going too fast thank goodness, but her attitude just pissed me off until I flashed her my badge and then she got all nice and apoligetic. Lol!
LMAO!!! Ya, once she calmed down, she was OK... just freaking out saying her husband was going to kill her.
Ya... must have done something right...Lol! That was a one in a million shot of not touching the paint.
Ya... he'll probably be going through the roof. Especially seeing as how the car still had dealer tags on it...Lol!
God, what a stupid bitch. I'm always very cautious in parking lots because people think they have a license to be stupid there. Glad you and the kids and the car are ok.
I read the thread title and saw the poster and freaked out a bit... Thank god everyones ok, including the car. What parking lot was this?
I agree, I think parking lots are actually the worst place to drive. People just GO and don't even look!!
Damn buddy! This must have happened after I talked to you on the phone a couple hours ago. It's a good thing your unemployed right now...cause you'll have time to deal with the insurance co, adjusters, mechanics, etc!!!!
Lol! Ya, I'm always looking out for someone cutting through, she actually looked like she was going to park for a second. The skate park at the Boy/girls club in Chula Vista. Yep! LOL! Na.. yesterday, didn't even think to tell you about it... I was laughing to hard about Jason's and Ryan's "inability" to use the new Sports Clips! Lol!
DREW: I nearly shit when I saw the title, and Yvonne started asking "are they ok?!?!" You SCARED me bro. I will affirm that statement... that brake upgrade was expensive, and likely the only thing that prevented a worse accident, IMO. Dam. Already abusing authority... I'm dam proud of you! From what Rick has gone through for a STEREO, Drew, you best believe him! BTW: If the paint had gotten screwed up, just think... you could've gotten a real paint job for free!
