Totally my fault, was going down a (non-residential) hill, no traffic ahead, somewhat tight curve, packed with bike cops at the bottom around the bend all aiming their Ka-guns up the hill.

SRT was handling great, listening to Immigrant Song at about volume 25. Couldn't hear my fuzzbuster & being that it was a left-bearing curve I couldn't see it for that matter either.

61 in a 35.:shok: Cop was VERY cool, gave me a 10-over ticket for $54 bucks due to the paper tag still being in the back window. I didn't even attempt to fight-it or bitch (it was totally legit).

For those of you in Albuquerque, it was the 528 hill coming out of Rio Rancho, into ABQ, on the right-hand exit leading towards the IHOP (under the overpass).

My question is: Does NM or Abq do Deferred Adjudication? I'd gladly pay extra to not have this reported to my ins. co.

Reason I ask is b/c I got a speeding ticket in Texas a few years back, paid the fine ($100), signed a deferred adjudication letter for an extra $150 and nothing was ever reported.

    Sincerely,

    Dumbass in Rio Rancho:dumb:

Yea, happens to the best of us bro. I can just picture you, Zep cranked, Hemi humming along, I would have been doing the same thing, lol!

In CA we can go to "traffic school" to avoid the ticket being reported to our insuance. Hope it works out for ya.

You can go to traffic school, 2 weekdays or 1 weekend day and it won't show up, just have to pay for the class, 1 time every 18 months.

I'm pretty sure things are different from state to state stevo. In Cali we get the option of going to traffic school and yea, it keeps the ticket off your record for insurance purposes. I hadn't heard about "deferred adjudication" though. Doesn't surprise me however, all the city/state wants anyway is your money, lol!

They have an internet option now. My friend said it took him maybe 4 or 5 hours? You do that and then stop by to get it signed off on I think.

hahahaha :harhar:...na its just im sure there are plenty of NY'ers who got tickets and were interested to see if there were ways around telling the insurance here in the YORK! haha...I got 2 knocked down to minor nothing tickets...but to keep it from the Ins...would be AWESOME! lol...

all i know is that in 359 days...my insurance is gonna drop like a F'en rock...

Ill leave the "18-25" year old age bracket which will cause it to go down...and both of my tickets come off my record...Hopefully i can get the payments to be below $100 a month lol

Wait till you get married and hit the ... er, "older" bracket like me, lol!

(No, I'm not telling you what bracket I'm in, let's just say I'm not targeted by advertisers at this point, lol)

    Jesus Thom...

Yea, RR and ABQ are cracking down on that hill. Have been several fatal accidents on the downlhill side in recent months/years. It's especially bad during the snow and ice season.

Not sure about your question though. Call the courts and ask.

    See ya Satruday morning...

And Thom, congrats on your good fortune. I had a similar experience with my first SRT speeding ticket, only he wrote me up for 85 in a 70 instead of the triple digit speed he nailed me at.
