I've read that someone recommended the QTP downpipe with the AGP 50 trim setup and not Needswings because of interference with the dump tube and the ecut. Does anyone know if that's the case? And also does anyone know if the QTP has 02 bungs? I've tried looking for pictures on their site and haven't had any luck.

QTP? Quick Trip or Q-tip? lol, never heard of that brand. I have the exhaust depot 3'' downpipe and it has 2 bungs. One is plugged.

there is no way the needswings pipe could possibly interfere with the dump tube. just buy the needswings and forget you ever heard about that QTP hunk of junk

The other site....... Someone said that the dump tube was blowing the hot air out and melting the wires for the ecut. I was wanting to order the Needswings until I heard about this. That's why I was asking if anyone here had this downpipe and knew if this was a problem.

Don't know if I'm allowed to link to the other site so I'll just post some of the quote's from the thread about this.

OP: The force of the air coming out of the dumb tube keeps disconnecting the wires on my Ecut. Is there something you guys can fab up to make it maybe curve to the side more away from the downpipe?

Other Guy: You can cut the dump tube about 6' or so.

AGP: I would reroute the wires for your e cutout

OP: The problem is it's actually burning the wires off. I can't reroute the ecut because it will be pointed down instead of sideways. i am lowered so it will probably scrape the road. as for rerouting the wires...the dump tube is pointed right at the end of the mechanical part where the wires connect so theres no where to reroute it

AGP: Well, then you can either reroute the dump tube or change where the e cutout is.

OP: Can I cut it 6 inches like the guy said

AGP: I would advise against cutting it. You have fuel lines, brake lines, and other parts in that area that could melt.

Other Guy: thats why you go with a qtp cutout or dp over needswings

QTP is Quick Time Performance. I have 1 7/8 QTP's on my Z28. They are made by Kook's, at least on the F-Bodies.

sounds like they have the ecutout bolted on backwards, the ecutout motor should be on the driver side and agp's dump tubes are on the pass side = there not close to each other

So the Needswings dp will NOT interfere with the dump tube on the AGP kit. The guy had his ecut on backwards and that was the problem from the start. Just making sure so I know which one to order.

I have the Needswing V5 DP on my car and my wife has the QTP (Quick Time Performance) DP on her car.

The difference I see between the two that makes a subsquential difference is where the 02 bungs are placed. On the Needswings they are before the cutout and on the QTP they are after the cutout. When my DP is open at idle, my AFR's are in the normal range 14.7-15.2. With my wife's DP open her readings on the wideband show LEAN at idle during intial start, after driving at idle it will correct itself and run in the normal range. During driving or WOT it is fine. That's the only difference I see other then the design between the two.

Nice choice and good luck! I have the Needswing v5 and still have to get the electric cut-out. It sucks having to go underneath the car and taking off the plate everytime I want it opened.
