    That is AWESOME Sharadon.

You guys could not have chosen a better person in JMATT for the R&D process.

Congrats Matt, you certainly do deserve this. IMO

Now, I am always up for some R&D stuff as well. ;)

Building a performance NAG transmission was brought up to the table awhile back, but no one seemed to have any problems with them. Even the guy's that were running in the 11's and 12's had no problems with them so we thought, why spend R&D time and expense's on a performance transmission that no one need's? Seem's to be a need now. lol

We're hoping to help out the LX platform with their tranny problems, the same as what we did for the Hemi truck platform. 7 of the 10 fastest Hemi trucks use our transmission and valve bodies. Our truck tranny's have lived with a 370 cu in 5.7 based stroker with a 275 shot that ran an 11.46@120 to my 392 cu in 6.1 based stroker with 14 lbs of boost which ran it's best of [email protected] in a 5140 lb 4x4 pickup with a 1.59 60'. Most of the truck's that want into the 12's needs a tranny. Seem's like the cars will need one for the 10's. I'll go full steam ahead this week to find the best possble parts for the NAG.

any truth to the rumor i have heard about the fluids in our trannies be sub par compared to what is going into similar trannys in amg version mercs?????? just curious. i was told the mercs are using superior fluids and getting much better performance out of the units as a result??? any validity to this in your opinion???

Sweet!! Some guys with tranny experience stepping up to the plate!!!!

Hopefully now that there's a proven need, we will be able to work together to quickly fill that need.

Thanks for stepping up to the plate. It's going to be a great year!

Very cool to hear about someone laying things on the line for the LX's! Way to go guys. I'm curious, JMatt, do you think the TCM played a role with the transmission's behaviour last night since you said that things went back to normal shortly after leaving the track or was it something clearly mechanical? I'm pleasantly surprised they've done this well in the 11's.

The transmission sounded and smelled funny immediately after the run. I understand the torque management bit, but this was much more like the transmission just didn't have enough friction to overcome the power and complete the shift.

After letting the car cool down for two hours, it once again drove 100% normal.

I think better fluid, more line pressure, better clutch material, etc, is all in order.

Of course you guys know me. If the tranny gets stronger, I may as well add a high stall torque converter at the same time. And if my rpms are 3000 right off the line, I can go ahead and run a larger shot right off the line......

I think with NO more HP, but improving the tranny both at launch and then again during the shifts, I can move below 10.50 seconds.

But it took a lot of time and effort to get this far. It may be fall before the next big drop in record times. At least for me.

JMATT, congrats on a killer run. We're looking forward to digging into your trans. As Hemidup said. We've talked about it without a market. Now there is a market. The trucks started slow. With only a couple with problems. Ours being the biggest headache.

I'm hopeful you guys can do for the LX trans what you've done for the truck trans. The LX's are ready, and we'll beat a path to the door of whomever can provide the solution! Thanks for taking up the challenge.

Soooo... just how much hp did it take to make your trans smell and sound funny?

I am on board and would like to be involved in this process. If I cannot be directly involved I would love to be added on the very interested list. I am happy to see Sheridan taking the reins on this since I have been looking for a reason to do business with them ever since they took the time to discuss my supercharger issues last year.

Just curious 'cause the SRT engineers said last year it should be good up to somewhere around 700 (crank). I guess it's no surprise it looks like they were right on since the trans has been around forever. How much more are you looking to add to get to low 10's?
