    A Mapclamp but I don't recommend it.

That's about it as far as gaining a little hp that I know.

    Whats your view on Mapclamps?

Removing the balance shafts is the only thing I heard of people doing to free up horsepower.

Ughhh maybe removing a ton of weight from your car.... Seats, spare tire etc.

They are bound to fail eventually. They are a cheap device for a cheap tune. My experience with one granted the views I have for them.

I ran a mapclamp on my car, brand new and everything perfectly soldered. Even soldered the install wires, heatshrink wrap to keep out the moisture. Mapclamp lasted a week. I was doing 120+mph on the highway when all of the sudden the car crapped out and went lean (red) on my wideband to the point there was no reading. Coasted home, cut out the mapclamp and I was back to running fine. A few months later I decided to removed the existing wires left from me cutting out the mapclamp to find one of my wires completely melted with burn marks. So the mapclamp from frying almost caused a fire underneath my hood.

I highly do not recommend them based on my experience with one.

Sounds like its a catch 22. To make it work you need a certain value of resistance but that value is probably low enough that it over currents alot of stuff e.g. the wires. Probably the only way to make them worth a damn is to use active components i.e. opamps etc. which for most people is probably more work than its worth.
