I found out today I have an old school version of the KW variant 2's. After bugging GSM to send me a set of damper adjustment knobs I finally got them. I went to adjust my settings and the knobs didn't fit. I thought I might have had a set of variant 1's installed by accident. I talked to Ron on the phone and he said try and Allen wrench. Sure enough....it took one of the smallest Allen wrenches I own.

I also did the "Meister Mod" by cutting two 4"x4" squares (3 sides) in the center of the wheel well carpet inside the trunk. Meister actually cuts on the top of the wheel well, but since I have a Kicker subwoofer there I cut into the sides. Easy as hell to adjust that way. I'm going to find two more Allen wrenches and glue them in place for the rears since it does take a second or two for me to get it in the holes while leaning in trunk.

Just wait for the news at 9 when it will all become clear. You'll see some footage with the paramedics and something about how some man managed to super glue his hands in the trunk and a passerby sodomized him instead of calling for help.

Normally the variant 2's have a round purple knob that fits on top of the coilover to adjust the damping settings. I am the first one that I know of that has received a set that requires a really small allen wrench to adjust them.

Hey...don't spill all my "trolling for homo" secrets!

They adjust with 3, 360 degree turns. I started with a cadillac setting (all the way left). Then did a go-cart setting (all the way right). I then tried 66% full hard fronts and 33% rear. I eventually settled on 66% (2 out of 3 turns to full hard) for both the front and rear. I will start doing quarter turn adjustments to dial it in a little better. I'm really interested in the "Pedders Full Bush" kit. I'm looking forward to hearing more info in this.
