BMC Performance is a dealer for Blingmaster metal polishing products. If you haven't used this before, trust me when I say it's the best. Lisa has tried almost everything to keep Danni's (BMCP Showcar) aluminum and polished parts shiny and nothing even comes close to this.
It is so good that the guys and gals at Billet Technology now recommend it to keep your Billet clean and polished.

We met these guys at a show a few years ago and didn't believe it ourselves until they actually demonstrated it on some of Danni's parts, and we were sold right away. We've used the Aluminator and will be using the Green Stuff in conjunction with that now, too.

The Aluminator is a finishing stage whereas the Green Stuff is a deeper cleaner. Ideally, you'd use the Green Stuff then the Aluminator and have a really mirror-like finish. It's very easy to use: just rub it on (the harder the better) with a terry cloth rag, then buff/wipe off with a clean side of the rag.

Click here to check out both products. The bottles are $15 each and we are offering free shipping, plus a combo pack with a bottle of each for $25 shipped.

Got anything that takes care of (light) pitting on aluminum?

The Blingmaster Greenstuff, tends to be alittle more abrasive/aggressive, and may work, but I can't guarantee it will depending on how bad the pitting is.

I'm asking because the inside of the SRT-10 wheels are quite prone to pitting.

It'd be nice to find a product that can be used to combat the pitting, then protect the wheel from it coming back (without clear coating).

Are the wheels bare Aluminum? I am asking because the wheels on the SRT8's are coated, in which case Blingmaster wouldn't work. If they are bare aluminum I can tell you from experience w/ lots of underhood items as well as things like exhaust tips etc, the Aluminator not only cleans the aluminum it does protect it as well. I just did my Exhaust tips last night..they were really bad, and it took me about 5 minutes to have them good as new, I will post some pics tonight.

    Kris-
Some of the SRT-10 wheels were coated; some weren't. No one's quite sure of the cut-off point.
Same thing goes with polishing. It's kind of a pain when shopping for a truck, but....

My particular rims are not coated, and thus the pitting. It's not terrible, but it has started and it drives me nuts when I look at my awesome wheels with little black spots on the inner race.

I know a lot of the SRT-10 owners would *LOVE* to have a product that removes the pitting and protects against pitting. Even if it's a one-time 'all-day' cleaning/scrubbing event, it'd be worth it.

    Next question:
I don't think 2 oz. is gonna cut it for (4) 22" wheels. LOL
    Is there another option, size-wise?

The nice thing about the Blingmaster products is that a little goes a long way...and I mean a looong way...Are you just doing the inside of the wheels or the entire surface?

It'd just be the inside of the wheels. That's where the pitting is taking place. I can take pics, if that helps.

You think 2 oz. will do (4) 22" wheels?
I was thinking more like 2 litres.

I'll take some pics of the inside of the wheels tomorrow and get them in here.

If you say the GreenStuff will combat the pitting (and prevent it from returning), I'll toss $15 and give it a shot.
    PayPal?

Worst case is that I'll have an exhaust tip as shiny as yours.

LOL, I think the Greenstuf will help w the pitting better than the Aluminator, since it is more abrasive.

Sorry it took so long. I was waiting for the rain to stop.

Here's what the pitting looks like on the inside of the SRT-10 rims:

Hey, sorry I missed this..hmmm..well the Greenstuff would definitely be the stuff to try...but that is some serious pitting. I am sure it will help, but not sure if it will take it away completely.

Kris- I'll give it a shot once weather clears up here a bit (and we actually start to feel some of this ALLEGED global warming).

Will the GreenStuff protect the wheel against further pitting?

My suggestion would be to use the greenstuff to clean and the Aluminator to shine and protect the surface
