I was thinking about 6" wide PT steelies with some 235/60-15, 25.4" tall M&H drag radials for my Neon (a reccomendation I got). Which I'll be using on a mostly stock SRT-4. Does that sound like a good idea? I'm looking for a good way to get traction for the money and I don't want slicks atleast not right now, afraid of breaking something. Will those tires fit on 6" PT cruiser steelies? Whats the cheapest place to get steelies? Would I need motor mounts to launch on these?
You may get one or two passes, but eventually you will break the mounts. Better to do the mounts now and save yourself the down time and headaches. IMO BWoody has some nice MM's at a reasonable price.
Those are expensive, I think I'll just fill my motor mounts with flexane if that is a decent way to go. That or I have some motor mount inserts sitting around, that would be even easier but I'm guessing those wouldn't be good enough.
solid mounts would be best but inserts are ok but not the best heres the best setup 1.solid motor mounts all 3 of them 2.LCA bushings 3.traction bars 4.slicks or DR with all of these u will have really good traction and a far less chance of wheel hop
Okay, sounds good. I've already got traction bars but I'll add to it some stiffer LCA bushings and flexane filled mounts to save some money. I appreciate all the help.
