Actually if you think about it. you are only paying $3,500 for the gears, because the kit comes with upgraded shafts. Most vendors are charging around $2,000 - $2,500 for those upgraded shafts. It looks like I will be contacting CMJ in the very near future as I was gearing up to buy the shafts anyway.

 

Yea, then ruin one of your tone rings and the cost goes up another 900 bucks. lol

Besides, I LOVE my top gears. going near 200 mph is much better than gaining .3 tenths at the track. lol IMO

Just give it time, the price will drop. Everything for the LX platform goes down in price after a while except headers, those go up in price for some stupid reason.

You can use an RT shaft to get a new toner ring. New is about $100

 

They have not tried anything except a stock gear set up.John states that Diablo is working on a tune for there set up..
