Man they must really want Chuck back in the hunt. His next fight will be at UFC 85 June 7th against Rashad Evans, someone who in my oppinion has not proved he deserves to be on the "A" list of the UFC. If you can not beat Tito (and I do not think Tito was properly prepaired for that fight) then you do not deserve a higher level fight.

I would tend to agree. I love Chuck though. When I first seen him..I hated him but over the years I root for him all the time. I personally think Tito trains like a monster but won't make it to the top. Rashad is just a great athlete but his skills are not on par with some of the best..especially in grappling. Gotta say, BJ Penn, for a light weight has some serious polish going on right now to add to his technical side which as we all know is amazing.

I would love to seeanother Liddell v. Rampage jacson, again.

On a side note. I know I may get blasted for this one, but a fight i would like to see set up would be Brock Lesnar v. Kimbo Slice.

Sorry for the partial thread jack. :good:

Liddell will never beat Jackson, so they're pushing him to fight popular dudes to draw attention back to him (he's a cash cow) as he'll never own the title again.

Leshner vs. Kimbo: Leshner is a MONSTER, but his techniques aren't up to par yet. If he even gets his shit together, he'll be canibalizing the heavy weight division... literally eating his opponents in the ring. Yes, eating them alive. He's too big, quick and powerful to be contended with if/when his skills show up. The man's a granite mountain.

I did a lot of organized street fighting from 96' to 99', and did some MMA training for about a year, but that was back in 2001. Nothing official though. Especially now. I am WAY out of shape. :supergay:

So, short answer, atleast on my part............ armchair.

I like how some people can watch a couple fights and then read a couple articles and be so profound. Never thrown a punch or put in the hours of training and sacrifice it takes to fight MMA. I guess now because it's en vogue experts abound LOLOL...I have trained with many of these guys for years. Not making this statement to anyone on this thread either just venting a little :bag: Liddell can't beat Jackson until he gets his head straight to do it. He can beat Jackson he has every skill to do it.

Will he prolly not since fighting is 75% mental and Jackson has his number. I disagree completely with the one guys assessment of Rashad Evans....He is a damn good fighter and athlete. Undefeated for a reason and beats everyone put in front of him so far. Any man can be beaten at anytime, any place. That is what makes MMA great. You must have super concentration and dedication to the sport to succeed. In my case cause I know I will get asked by some smart ass....I cant use and Muay Thai because I develop Ulcers on my feet and don't feel like losing them. So I don't fight competitively anymore. I do however train and I teach in a number of disciplines and techniques. I miss beating the crap outta people and getting paid to do it.....

I like Chuck too but I think his prime has come and gone. He still has a few years of good fights left though. Tito is kinda like the gate keeper for the Light Heavyweight division. He probably will not make it back to the top but he still is a beast. Evans needs some more development on his technical abilities, he has come along way in the last few fights but I do not thing he is ready to make that jump yet. I could be wrong. BJ is starting to look good. He is beginning to look like an Athlete not just a bowl of puddin' with awesome BJJ.

Chuck will not fight Rampage again anytime soon, the UFC knows Jackson has Chuck’s #. With the popularity of them both, the fight makers will keep them separated for a while to keep the cards strong. Brock's next fight is Coleman, a respectable fighter long past his prime. This should be an interesting mach up for Brock, he does not have to worry about to much technically like he did against Frank. Should provide a good "tune up" for Lesner and his first hard fought win in the UFC.

You mean "when he gets his shit together"? I do not think it is an "if" with him more of a "when". He is a phenomenal athlete.

I "dable". With my job some of this stuff comes in handy. :aggressive:

Liddell is not past his prime I disagree. Evans is ready for this fight and he has Earned the right he is the top contender IMHO. BJ Penn has always been the Prodigy I have rolled with him a few times and he is special. People fear his ground game and forget he is a tremendous stand up fighter, with massive punching power for his size. Brock Lessner is a joke right now....all those steroids went to his head. He belongs in MMA like Tito Ortiz is a good fighter....Over hyped, over inflated egos and cant close any deals cept with Jenna Jamison :yahoo: Luck bastage :domotwak::domotwak:

I personally hate Tito Ortiz....So you will never hear anything positive from me about him....Sorry

Confidence resides in the mind not in the fist... Once you lose to the same fighter a few times it becomes more difficult to overcome.

I don't see this with Evans as he seems to be a bit more headstrong from what I can tell. Evans also trains with "the dean of mean" who handed Chuck his a$$ not to long ago. To say Evans is not an "A" list fighter is to say the UFC is a joke... and it definately is not my friends.

Brock is a monster... and if it wasn't for a toe twist or ankle lock he definately would be sitting on a win right now. Frank is a beast as well but plain and simple... if you can't beat a guy, go for his toe's. Lol

TheSickness, most of us are fans not fighters. We love the sport and enjoy finding differences in the matches and outcomes. Did anyone claim to be an expert? Heck all the fighters in the UFC are so talented the outcome could be either-or in many of the events.

Yeah, I never cared for Tito Ortiz myself..I think he put on too much size and would be a better fighter at a lighter weight. BJ Penn just slay me. I like his non-chalant (for the most part) attitude and his temper when he does get pissed off. It's funny to me. I don't like Gabriel Gonzaga and a few other heavy guys much. I did kind of like that he kicked Crocop in the head out of no where since, well, Crocop likes to do that to everyone else. This thread is awesome. I have been looking for people in previous srt/lx forums who were fans but only ever got a few responses.

WTF kind if shitty fight card is that? I agree with the post in the 1st page that claims Liddell can't beat Rampage. Rampage is one of those curses for Liddell, I think, and Liddell will never be able to beat him.

    But Evans v. Liddell? LOL!
