Fricken idiots. Idiot service and idiot policies and idiot business communications. They all need frontal lobotomies. That is all.
Bastards!! I bought an item for 700 bucks. First payment sent was denied by the seller because, well IDK why really. He said it was a mistake over the phone and followed the prompts incorrectly so I made sure to confirm and even recieved a Paypal (yes it was an official email lol) notice saying the Payment was denied and had to re-bid. So, I paid the seller and it went through successfully. Product is being shipped UPS. Today I check my account online and they made 2 withdrawals for that amount both going to paypal. I look to the history and it says the original payment was still denied. Well then, WTF are you taking money out you dumbasses? Anyways, now I'm wondering if this was a scam so I call the seller and we discuss it and he has not recieved a second payment. He seems like a good guy and I spoke with him before I even paid. Ok, so now, I get on the phone with the my bank and then after like an hour with Paypal. The lady on the phone did not know English very well and I had to ask her to repeat herself several times. She was also a low-talker. Finally, after waiting on long-distance forever, she comes back and says ok we are going to refund your account for 700 on Friday. Me: Friday, like tomorrow Friday? Her: Um, no. Like Friday nes Friday. Me: Oh, ok, can you send me a confirmation of that? Her: Um, No beek-Os.... and on and on and and on and on and on. There's more to it but my fingers are sore. In the end, if they don't refund my money by Friday of next week...i have her initials (only) and employee number and my bank will credit me the money and send them the fee for an unauthorized transaction. They should have at least sent out an email saying even though the payment was denied...we still take it out of your account in 5-7 days! Duh! I believe I'm not the first or last to experience this. And what's with not having a toll-free number? They offer there services worldwide don't they? Anyways, feel better now even though 1400 is missing out of the 'slush' fund.
Vent away bro, paypal is NOT a vendor here (last I checked) so you won't get banned or put in jail, hahahahhahhaa!! Always feels good to vent and I'm good at listening so once your fingers are recovered go for it!!
:drugs: I call Paypal the 7/11 service... If we could crash their headquarters I bet half of them wouldn't even have teeth. Although that's not always a bad thing. :headspin::cheers:
Thanks for sharing this with us....I will not let funds withdraw from my checking account in the future...just credit cards..
Always go credit cards with Paypal. The dispute process through paypal can be almost non-existant in many situations. Even when paypal does have a dispute process the credit card one will be orders of magnitude better.
I'll tell ya Mikey...I tried emailing them even before I knew I was making some significant purchases a couple weeks ago about getting my credit card to have an expanded use number (not the number found on the back) but one where I could use the card as the primary funding source. To be honest, I don't even know how to use the cc before my chequing account and thought this was the answer. They NEVER replied after contacting them 3 x about this. I tried calling but was a on hold forever and I even left it on speakerphone. I was shocked when I got through today. I also sent another email this morning contesting the additional withdrawal of funds from my account for the same item...and NO REPLY!! Bunch of ass hats I say lol.... Does anyone know how to purchase an item using Paypal but using a credit card as the primary source for payment? Would this be treated as a cash advance or a straight purchase. I can't seem to find or get any answers from Paypal and their terrible website. I currently have a credit card attached to my Paypal but is only a back-up source to an actual chequing account. When I try to initiate the CC expansion number process, the instructions tell me to click on the CC and then on "Initiate expanded number process" but the link does not even exist. :bottom:
