It's kind of amazing just how fast the Jeeps are considering how much heavier they are. What is it, 4800 lbs or something like that?? With the same hp and 300-400 lbs. lighter the LXs should walk on by after getting hooked up ... but they don't seem to. Knew I should have gotten a Jeep ...

I know, and dyno runs bare that out right? So how are the Jeeps so damn fast?!?! Lol!! Seriously, isn't the rule of thumb 1 tenth for every 100 lbs, or there abouts?? So what gives, how are the Jeeps so dang fast weighing as much as they do?!?! AWD and gearing only get you so far, then weight pays it's price ... or it's supposed to, lol! Unless the Jeep is RED or course I don't see how it can be so fast!!
The Jeeps are fastest to 60mph, in the 1/8 and in the 1/4. Sorry guys but facts are facts. The Jeeps are the fastest SRT's besides the Viper. I am not a Jeep owner so this is not a biased post. Oh yeah, when it's wet or on a dirt road the Jeep is also fastest.

the tire company The tire company would win, they sold all that smoke. The real answer is anyones guess. I won the 06 SRT Nats at Topeka in a Silver Maggie. BUT all the LX's and GC's were very close with none showing a clear advantage. Yes the GC was a little faster in the 1/8th due to traction and gearing but typically a 1/10th or two slower at the end from weight and Aero. The entire quick 16 field came from about 40 IIRC and the end result was all within about 3/10ths and that was all driver issues and changed with every round/launch. The 2 SRT10 trucks both ran about .5 slower consistently than all the SRT8's they ran in the slicks class though and my Dakota won that division with a killer 1.6X 60 ft time FWIW my SRT6 is the fastest of my rides
