That Camacho looks Delish Jake!! I will see if I can locate some.... an initial search of my usual suppliers indicates that they stopped making them. But, there may actually be a fresh supply of them coming soon. I will keep looking.

In the meantime, I am very frustrated with this business!! Things seemed to be falling into place nicely, then I started having problems one after the other....

First it was trouble finding a credit card merchant (I think I have that remedied finally), then it was finding reliable suppliers, now (as Tim predicted) PayPal won't let me do business through them....(F*c*ers!!!) So currently, the only payment option I have left is COD, YIKES!! I will leave it that way, but the first time I get burned, no more COD except to friends.

    Damn! Business is hard!

On the positive side (Yes, there is a positive side!), I am still in line to be the exclusive importer/distributor for two very nice Dominican cigar manufacturers! Did I mention "Exclusive"? Oh yeah!

You can check out both cigars here and here.
(Edit: There is an American listed as an importer on both sites, but she wants out! She is only doing it because one of the owners is her Mother, and the other is her Uncle! She doesn't even have any of either type of Cigar.)
Smoke 'em if you got 'em....

It's all hard...but nothing compared to managing employees...keep it simple and within your grasp and it soon be routine.

If you hear someone outside of your windows tonight just ignore him...he is just trying to get pictures of your wife...hehehehe...

Taken from a PM... (with permission)

Yes, I have smoked a Estate Sun Grown. It is a very good smoke, to be sure... They are quite pricey. It's a big cigar and big money. Therefore, IMO, if you get your hands on any ESG's, keep them in the humidor and age them for a few months. It would be a shame to waste a great cigar because it's not ready to be smoked yet.

Thanks for the question! Do you mind if I post this on the Cigar thread?

    -Jake

Cigars like the Padron 80th "8pk" are cigars you are never suppose to smoke. They are super rare and ultra expensive. Most people collect them to resell later. I had a "Journey to Chataeu Fuente" collectors box of Aurturo Fuente Opus X (3 cigars and a CD for $99). I should have sat on that.... but I smoked 'em They were great! But, the set is going for about $400 now.

So, if you really like a particular cigar... BUY them! Even smoke 'em! But, a cigar is only worth what you pay for it.... BTW, I've seen the Padrons for $239/box. That's $28/stick. And if you buy the box set, sometimes just the box is worth a lot of money! Call Scott at Highland's Cigar... (800) 777-4854 for a great deal.

I thought Dennis had some great questions! So I figured I would repost here on the thread.... that way, we could discuss further. :thumb:

Well Jake, You would have enjoyed the smoke I had for you at Old Town!!

I smoked a Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 (Aged 12 years) Robusto Like this one :busted:

It was an awesome cigar!! It was a mild cigar with a perfect draw, and mild earthy undertones. Definitely ranks up there with some of the best I have had!! Tons of smoke, and almost zero aftertaste!

(The smoke was nice in the crowd at Old Town! :headspin:)

Enjoyed it, but didn't get to finish it, :getlost:....

That was done by whomever was in charge of shipping them..... Some gung-ho dickhead who is fully aware of the contraband nature of these items... and who fully realizes that you cannot complain (about it) has pulled down your pants and sodomized you with impunity....

Lousy, illegitimate, feculent pieces of inbred trash.....

    That's just inhuman....

Looks like a political statement to me.

Certainly someone inspected the package and rather than confiscate the cigars, they tried to send a message...

Really sick, and a shame. Sadly this is the nature of some people these days.

It was definately done by someone because the MonteCristo was sealed back in the box but the cedar strip was not in the box it was stuffed in the bag. I still have the packaging envelope did you wrap it in plastic Stefan? it was wrapped in shrinkwrap in a ball almost. You can tell they were done by hand there is NO WAY a robusto could break in 3 freaking places from shipping!!!!!! I cant believe you didnt get yours yet they have no business doing anything to those they are all US smokes nothing illegal there at all. That was just the iceing on the cake I needed to what is turning out to be one hell of a shit week! I would have rather had them take them and smoke them then do that to those beautiful smokes it's a crying shame!!!!!!!!!!!
