Sometimes it's just a little thing that helps complete the picture: BEFORE: AFTER: Compontents Before & After: Massive props go to Dragon and JMB for their help with this. You guys rock!!!
I take it from your kudos that they are powdercoated? Looks real good!! I need to paint my calipers in a big way....
Yep. JMB quoted me INSANELY AWESOME prices for powder coating of a few parts I wanted done. Ordering the OEM parts from Dragon was easier than walking down the stairs. Those guys make it dangerously simple to spend money and receive a high-quality part quickly. LOL The only tough part was that the bolt sleeves got their ends coated. It's a tight fit getting those buggers lined up to begin with, let alone with some extra on there. I'll take some shots with the wheels on today. The little bit of black really looks great. It sort of looks like the caliper is totally 'open'. I should give props to Keith too. He was over here for last night helping out with a bunch of stuff, including the sleeves and springs. Thanks for the help, man!
We need to take up a donation and get you laid Kevan. :iluvff: Looks good by the way. You always do first class work.:thumb2:
Thanks John. I appreciate the comment (esp. from someone as detail-oriented as you. Heh heh) Here are some daytime shots: ....a little closer....
The SRT-10s come with the red TRW calipers. I just had the pad springs and bolt sleeves powder coated black.
I was worried about that too, until I realized that the springs only get flexed once....during installation. Nothing cracked or chipped during install, so I think they're okay. Now, if it were a normal compression or expansion spring that was regularly 'sprung' and 'unsprung', I think there might be problems. I'll check with JMB next time I talk with him.
Lookin good Kevin...I need to do that too.....BTW..the "other" SRT guys on this forum do not know who Justin of JMB is. We need to get him on here as a vendor...all the SRT members here are potential customers..
Yeah. I know it can be a little complicated when it comes to forums & vendors (stepping on toes inadvertently), so I keep the pimping to a minimum. I'll tell Justin about this place and see if he wants in. I know the other SRT folks here would dig his work (and prices).
Just so you are aware, there is now a flexible powdercoating material available that come in different colors. If anyone is interested I can get more information on it.
big stuff is nice and all...but i have ALWAYS said its the little things that make the car what it is...thats small...but a great addition!
