    6.1 complete short block with Eagle forged rods with upgraded ARP rod bolt option, Diamond forged pistons, stock 6.1 forged crank fully machined to spec's by BES, ACL main bearings, King rod bearings, fully balanced and professionally assembled.

    So...would this be ready for some boost??

    Not that I have the charger yet, but I want to get my mod path laid out.....

    Our basic engine packages detailed above are for stock compression. We can raise and lower the compression to meet your needs. The lowered compression 6.1L comes with dish pistons and the assembled short block costs an amazing $3700 with a usable core (same price as the stock compression motors). Combine this bottom end with one of our custom blower cams and ported top end and you will be a beast.

    Also, you mentioned it being fully balanced - which is a good thing. But just to understand, they do not come balanced from the factory (stock), correct?

    They are balanced from the factory,but as you change the rod and piston weight you have to rebalance the crank for that assembly.

    I'm home........finally.....the motor is fantastic.Quiet,smooth and pulls hard.....I can't wait to put the spray to it!
