Damn. March 1 can't get here fast enough. Sorry the pics are pretty crappy, I just took really quickly when I opened the boxes. I'm going to clean them up and take some good ones tonight.

These are the big valve option I assume. Did you end of going with one of his cams and spring/locator etc upgrades? I am (for a while now lol) in the market and have been looking at Stu's heads as well.

I think Stu is calling them his Big Valve High Performance heads or something like that. The valves are 2.1 intake and 1.625 exhaust. The heads have Ti retainers, Manley exhaust springs, locators, and valve seals.

I did end up with one of his cams. We talked custom grinds for a few days and the grind I had in mind was remarkably close to what Stu had been thinking about for the SRTMax(Hell) cam. So I'm putting that in too.

I have it all right now. I was supposed to install everything this Saturday (2/23), but 6.1 gasket sets are on back-order at Mopar and one of the guys helping me had to back out.

    Hey Hal,

I bought these with forced induction in mind. These are step 1. Then, a forged rotating assembly (likely a 392 stroker with lowered compression). Finally, some boost!

I got my heads and cam yesterday. My install is sunday being done by BFNY (Eric). I will take pics later tonight with my new camera that should be home waiting for me too! I should have my ported intake next week and that I will be installing myself. My total was a little over $3000 for everything (heads, cam, ported and coated intake manifold, cam sprocket and chain, and installation kit).

Two different styles of valve springs?

Stockers on the intake side, Manley's on the exhaust side. The cam grind I'm going to run doesn't exceed the max valve height on the intake side, but it does on the exhaust lobe.

Yeh, the 6.1 uses a different spring on the intake and exhaust unlike the 5.7 head. The 6.1 intake spring is good for up to about 0.580 lift so it will handle the 0.566" lift of that cam fine but the 6.1 exhaust is only good to about 0.565" so with the 0.580 lift on that cam I use the manley spring on the exhaust. I combine the manley spring with a custom locator to locate the bottom of the spring so it doesn't walk around and break. I also run a differnet viton valve seal to give more clearance between the retainer and seal. The stock settup is only good for about the same as the stock spring is. When I go bigger on the intake side I use the PAC 1220 or 1520 spring which will take close to 0.650" lift. It's stiff enough to cause a little valve noise but it will control the big valves with bigger cams.
