Here was my best effort tonight. Forgot until too late to set up my telescope. This was with camera: Here's a better effort of a full moon using the telescope:
Wow JMatt! Better than the one I took earlier...then again, never tried to take a picture of the moon in a dark sky so I just left it on automatic with the flash lol.. This was about an hour ago..
OK - got out the telescope. Still the best I can do. Can't get great focus until telescope temp matches outdoor temp. It's 60 degrees colder outside than inside right now...
The full moon, and eclipsed moon are same telescope, same camera. The weather here tonight is cold, crisp, and clear sky. Problem is, the telescope focuses manually, and the idea would be to let the telescope reach outdoor temp, then get nice and focused in on the moon......WHEN IT'S LIGHT ENOUGH TO STILL FOCUS ON!!!! Arrrrrrrggghhhh!!!! Sorry I coudn't get that better. It's the clearest one I've seen in nearly 10 years. Other's in the recent past were cloud covered for me.
