Got the Predator, updated to r20, swapped out the Mopar CAI for an aFe stage 2. Here's the before and after impromptu 0-60 runs. Not a real good launch on either. You can see the shift difference. The 1-2 shift with r20 sort of feels like a soft sling shot compared to the stock shift that feels harder. Stock it feels like a normal, discreet, fairly firm shift. With r20 it is not discreet but a sort of soft, longer shift with power through the whole thing. You're definitely not going to chirp any tires with this shift but maybe the car is faster through it. I'm sure a lot or most of it is the tune. Oddly enough, speed drops a bit towards the end of the shift with the tune. Stock, Mopar CAI r20 CAI 91oct w/raised shift points, aFe CAI
wow dave, nice graphs!!!! do you have some part numbers and pics to go with them!!! hahahahaha seriously, i have not tried the 20 version.... i kinda like the harder shift better though!!!
Gaining a tenth in 0-60 is a nice improvement...wait till you see what that equates to down a full 1/4 mile! Thanks Mike
D A S H H A W K. I thought you were going to get one? That would be the regular 0-60 run display. First thing I did after installing the tune was data log knock retard to see how it compared to stock (no wideband yet... you got your's? Ron promised wire routing pics but has failed to deliver so far). Looks about the same. That graph is below. Just sort of cruised around getting on it every now and again, and lugging it a couple of times. It touched 6 one time where the cursor is. Otherwise it momentarily hits 4.5 to 5 which is the same as stock. I guess I need to try it without raised shift points and see if it's firmer. I suppose it won't be quite as fast though.
You guys are lucky because the jeeps cant change to a higher shift point. All we can do is raise the revlimator 4 now.
Can you disable the auto upshift in stick mode? I suppose if you're good enough you could get the same effect shifting manually. I tried, I can't do it. Way too often I either shift too early or bounce off the limiter.
dave - i do not have a dash hawk as of now. as for the wideband, that will come soon. i still need to do some datalogging with my pred to see where things are with my tune from dave (B&G). been a little busy!!! hahahaha
Dave, yeah, I'm running 18 and the difference is awesome compared to my previous CAI and Exhaust, Stock tune... I ran a best of 4.62 that way... after the 18 install, my best fell to 4.22!!!
What do you care? You don't have a Predator. BTW: you need one as your car would be a bigger beast... especially post CMR tuning (because of your hiflow cats).
