    Are you kidding??

WMM is the easiest editor I've ever used. Granted, the options and extras are slim (what do you expect from a freebie movie editor) but it is cake to operate.

What seems to be your issue?

    WMM won't import quicktime files?

Hmmm.....give me time. I'll figure it out....

but I have to change computers. My laptop has Vista, but the video card won't support WMM....groovy. Gotta goto my desktop.....

download the RAD tools converter. Real small. then, you can convert the quicktime format to .avi and WMM will accept that.

I just used it and it works. It look complicated, but all you do is select the .MOV file, hit the convert button. Then, hit convert button on the new screen...even though there is a whole bunch of shit to fiddle with. It will automatically convert it to .AVI and put it in the same folder as the original .MOV.

On the timeline, right click the audio track and adjust the volume to zero.

    or click mute...that works too.

Are you in timeline mode and not storyboard??\\

    Because you can adjust both.

You need to be in timeline mode.

I told you it was easy...just make a video or two and you'll be a pro at it.
