Throwing out a feeler to see how many folks would be interested in a West Coast Shootout? Location would be California Speedway, Located in Fontana, CA Would like to see some sponsors get involved and actually have a purse that would trickle down to the top 3 spots. Thinking of maybe sometime around March of 2008. Maybe we can make this an annual event.... your thoughts?
The annual LX Spring Festival will be in March as usual, and will feature a race day again. Last year we held it at California Speedway. Might be a bit of a challenge for a lot of people to do both if you try and hold it at that time.
Hopefully we will get some pretty serious sponsorship for next year's Festival. I think an event that is close to that will weaken both in terms of participation and support.
For just a 1/4 mile event. I don't agree, but OK. We have enough locals along with the AZ group that would attend both events.
Potential sponsors are more likely to choose between similar events at the same time of year, than support both. I seriously doubt that a participation fee will be enough to cover the cost of renting CA Speedway. Unless you want to piggyback on another event, which could always be done, of course.

If you have a March spring fling I wouldn't want to make it conflict. We can maybe do late February or April. Just trying to get something started like east coasts E town event, but something for us westies. Besides by April I should have my Challenger and all your asses are grass
Due to the weather and location (not to mention DA) you most likely want it before it starts to get Sahara hot!
Don't forget we have an event the weekend of Jan 19 in Phoenix that Ron and I are working on. SRT/C will be one of the sponsors. There's a Mopar's at the Strip in Vegas that is pretty close to Spring Festival in March I think. Let's don't get to many of these things going. We'll end up with weak participation at all of them.
