Diablo 8r20

I'm using the 1r18 version but I've read that this latest version has much better shifting, has anyone tried it yet? Do you guys like it? What are the pros and cons to it?

 

I heard there is no noticeable difference between 18 and 20.

 

There is a new option for changing the gear ratio, at the moment it has only 2 options, the R/T gears and the SRT8 gears; so it only benefits the R/Ts. I hope that when the r21 version comes out, it includes a 3.73 gear option for the SRT8.

 

Just to see, I took off Daves tune and tried it and immediately went back to my CMR tune no comparrison

 

Show me a 3.73 gear for your cars first, then we'll talk about adding in more ratios....:yes:

 

Is there a misunderstanding here? I think people are assuming this will actually change their gear ratio. It's an option to adjust everything IF you change your gears right? Same as the option to change your tire size.

 

Yes. But I sort of got the impression from a couple of posts that some people are assuming there is some magic they work with the transmission or something to actually do that.

hehe, in that case we're probably safe then.

 

No, no magic....lol.
This is simply allowing you to correct the speedo and shift point settings after you change the physical gear ratio.

I thought that this option was to change gears with out actually opening the differential. Mike, you guys have done things more difficult than this, we have faith in you guys; you can do it!!! :rock:

 

UHHH the SRT Jeep has 3.73 gears, what comes with the SRT LX 3.06 right??

 

Oh darn...You mean the predator won't give me 3.73 gears just by changing the PCM?
Oh yea THAT is in the hiddden RIM (Rear Install Module).....chuckle....as in... you need a rim job.

Heck with 3.73 how about 4.10?
