Your car is a prime example Chase....I believe it's the car itself that is hard to dyno.....the guy that dynoed both my Charger and the truck made a comment about not feeling any problems with the truck during the run (SRT10 does not have ESP and uses a LSD rear..:thumb2:). He always said he felt like the car was fighting the dyno........BTW..truck dynoed 543 RWHP before the updated tune..

i KNEW you would chime in on this one brudda!!!! hahahahahaha i could not help but think of you when this was taking place!!! hahahahahaha yeah, i know the car feels soooo much better and performs better. i pulled the fuse the night before and the car was spinning the tires and pulling harder than before!! bottom line, the dyno operator even said it as well, the dyno numbers are not something to really put much stock in, becasue so many things come into play that comparing one car to another with similar mods means nothing.

The best part of this was when we were asking the dyno operator about the discrepancies, he kinda got offended by it and had an attitude towards our questions......

larry is a good guy luis, i am sure he just gets tired of listening to guys that think they know more than him. hahahahaha actually, what he had to say was realistic though as a means of power, but rather they are good for tuning...... dyno's just are too suspect to be reliable. as he asked me, does your car feel slower, if not, don't sweat these numbers...... he has a good point, but it still seemed wierd the discrepencies we saw.....

The dyno I went to, the guys said our cars are so friggin finnicky. They haven't seen impressive number from one yet, and they've seen about a dozen or so. They also cannot believe that cars with smaller powerplants and less mods, are getting more HP to the ground. I honestly think there is something about our cars, that doesn't do well with the front wheels stationary on a dyno.....

In regards to fuse 11 pulls....

I have a couple of thoughts here.
    Adaptives can go both ways.
They adjust differently if you drive like Grandma or Johnny Rocket.
I believe the "reset" is to parameters between Grandma and Johnny Rocket but more to Grandma or a little conservative.

So if you do a reset and the adaptives were ajusted more to Johnny Rocket you may end up with a weaker car till the PCM adjusts.
I have seen Dyno runs that show power increases for each pull after PCM reset, especailly with cars with power mods.
Remember you are reseting your PCM to variables set without power mods.
Jeremy of PPP probably made the most sense with saying that instead of reset you should just go make a few hard 0-80 runs to set the variables.

Dyno's are like women no matter what you do or how much money you spend they'll still mis lead you. Heat soak and uncontrollable adaptives kill HP.

    Yeah, it can be misleading.

2 months ago, I had HHP Stage 2 installed in my car in DE. A day after they completed the installation, we went to local shop for dyno. It was exactly 350 HP. Josh at HHP told me it will run faster as you drive more miles.

I drove from NJ to home trip last week. I can definitely feel faster on trip. And last Saturday at Macedo, I got 346 HP. I was expecting at least 370, I know it runs faster than that. Something wasn't right. Best way to do it is racing.

yeah mikey, i thought you would have been higher as well as terry's stroker...... it was just a strange day to see stock cars doing high numbers, cars with same mods with big variances, etc. you're right though, take it to the track to see!!!

You should use Smoothing 5. It is the most conservative. Most use it. It takes more of the little peaks out of curve. So it's more of a realistic number.

    0 is raw, no smoothing.

Thanks. I wasn't sure. 5 just wasn't looking right to me. hahaha

DYNO"S SHOULD BE USED FOR TUNING PURPOSES ONLY, unless you are a BENCH racer. :)
