Oh lord... that means a 6.4 will likely sneak into a Charger or two, huh?!?! I'm feeling the itch already.... wife, hunny, guess what............................ Come to think of it... folks... seeing how our SRT8s and this Challenger are on the same platform, does that hint at the idea that we could SWAP our gears for the 3.92s????
momo - i did not think our cars were on the same platform??? wasn't the chall being done on a similar, but slightly different platform??? either way, gear changing would be nice if we could get hal to play nice....
challanger is ly, whatever the difference may be. however fiero's and lamborghini countach's arent the same platform somehow they mated them too.

Maybe if they don't fit, at least it will give some companies a sample to go by, and it wouldn't be too hard to slightly modify for ours... but, like said before, gotta get HAL to be friendly though!
According to the info in the link, the 2008 Challenger with the 5 speed auto tranny will come with 3.07 gears, the challenger with the 6 speed manual transition and the 3.92 gears will come out in 2009...
