my buddies dad got a new 997. I told him that my car would beat his car In a straight line. He laughed. So we went to the free way. First race I got him by 2 1/2 cars from 55-140. This is na btw. Next race I started behind and passed him by a car till I had to slow down for traffic. He wants a rematch he said he wasnt trying. I said sure and am going to get my bottle filled, and maybe then he will learn. His cars sick though, I will get some one with a camra next time.

    First, nice kill(s)!

Like Markus said, I pseudo raced a GT3 with the mods I have listed and he didn't do shit besides hover around my rear bumper.

Really? Sure it was a Turbo cause those things are wicked fast with the awd (0-60 in 3.5, 40-60 in 1.0!!) 997, is that the previous gen 911, don't remember, but regardless your sled must be REALLY fast bro!!

The GT3 is NA, I believe, with like 415 at the crank. A 0-60 of AROUND 4.1... damit, someone grab that thread I started...

    The stats were on there.

Regardless, I've launched my sled at a best of 4.22 (onboard timer - so its a ballpark reading)... we went from a nice roll... and shut down around 80-ish. He'd have passed I guess somewhere around 90-100... but for those fleeting moments, the Porsche driver was totally looking at my car like "W-T-F does that barge got in it?!?!"

yea its a brand new 07 turbo. we raced from 55-140ish there was no dead stop. I cant launch this car so he would get me I know. But from what I hear they run 12.2ish at the track and i go 11.7 so you never know. I will make sure I film the next race. I am trying to convince him to bring it to sac this sat

That's gotta be staged, that old rabbit would self destruct going that fast, I know, I used to have one. Plus, listen to the motor on the porsche, it's rpms rise very slowly, that ain't right. Those motors spin up faster than ours!! They go 40-60 in ONE SECOND!!!

Now THAT would be cool!! That's something you don't see everyday and takes a lot of balls for someone to do. He get's my respect if he does, win or lose. :tip:

And props to you too John, your sled's gotta be wicked fast to pull one of those! From a stop those things just flat out GO, like the Jeeps, it's that awd thingy, hahahaha. I know you're norcal too so if you see me around and I run when I see you coming don't take it personal ok? Hahahhahahhhaaaa!! :worthy:

Hey - you don't go in the 11's until you've posted your timeslip and updated the timslip database!!! So until you update the records, you're just another 14 second car!

    LOL. :bang:

    What can I say? LOL

If you don't put a timeslip in, we just have to assume you're a 14 second car until you show us otherwise. Has to be SOME incentive to posting a timeslip. LOL

there is a huge diff between the 997 and the 996. with your mods, the porsche should have been a hair infront of you. with your bottle however, you would really tear him apart.

    awesome race!
