then again all my questions are stupid. if you have asymmetric tires where the outside of the tire is clearly marked "outside" then is there a left and right tire? or is it okay to have your tires look like this left tire --> l\\l l\\l <-- right tire or do they have to be like this left tire --> l//l l\\l <-- right tire currently my tires look like the 1st little "diagram" have i been sent 2 left tires? like i said before, the outside of my tire says "outside" on it so it cannot be pulled off the wheel and turned around. in cae your wondering they are Kumho Ecsta ASX
Markus, I think as long as you have the "outside" on the outside it's fine. I think this is how the Vreds look too. Rick's the expert, I remember reading this not long ago. If you look at pics of his tires it looks like some are not on correctly cause the tread pattern goes different directions on opposite sides of the car. I believe Rick checked with Vred.... (whatever) and they said it was correct. So my guess is your Kumho's are correct too. Hopefully Rick will chime in ... unless you upset the EQ too much yesterday, lol! And NO bro, it's NOT a stupid question!!!
it would be if i asked it on the oc or 3cf. thanks for your insight however. i was really startin to panic.
Search for pics of Rick's car, he posted some good ones right after got those tires (oops, tyres) and you can see the tread differences. I'd ask him, he's the expert. Also bro, you can try Kuhmo customer service, that's what Rick said he did with the Vreds. (geez, are we actually having a NORMAL conversation, lol!!)
yeah its a 1st. ill axe rick whenever hes around. by the way its tires.oui? no no we're american...cuz your in america.
Markus, you know the only stupid questions are those left unasked! I hate when people say that. lol! What was the question?
I am no pro... but the outer most ridge should match on both sides. so |//| |\\| is how it should be. Bare in mind I am NOT a tire person.
I would say run it like the 2nd diagram I dont think there is a left or right unless it says directional on the tire as well
it does not have a direction but it does have an outside and inside and both tires are mounted properly
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh dear Lord, now I have to follow the mailperson around for the next couple weeks! My bad.
