I know it has been wondered about many times now but it has been awhile so I thought I would ask... Has anyone heard about a roots type blower in developement for out rides??
ACTUALLY I just checked Kenne bells site and they advertise release of their kit for the 5.7L rams very soon...
You might see something at Spring Fling......that's 50 state legal. It's not a crappy roots though, something better.
It's a hybrid roots/twin screw (Harrop blower). I'd still rather have a twin screw as they're more efficient at higher boost levels/rpms. Torrie McPhail is working on twin screw kits (varying displacements from 2.3-2.8L) for the Jeeps, not sure about LXs though.
Well its basically official now. Both GSM and PPP have Roots on the way. GSM using an Austrailian based company and PPP is working with Whipple. Let the blowers Wail and the torque run free!!!
Roger that, Dave. Now, if only I had money... maybe PPP would want a San Diego tester vehicle to combat the GSM insanity out here?!?! Dave, you've got an in with them... hook a brother up (then I can kick asphalt in Ricks face for you every weekend <--- our secret).
MONEY, shit it all depends if the wifey let you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The boss would slam the door on you faster than you could empty a room full of hot dogs.........
Gil, GSM and Richwood Industries are now the Richwood Group. GSM is not working with them but infact the same company. The I-Charger is light years ahead of anything you will see for a long....long time both in efficiency and power output.
Refresh my memory again...what are the main differences characteristically between roots and centrifugal?
