Like the title of the thread states: Show of Force... Momo be Representin'!!! After dinner, and despite only 2 hours of sleep the night before, I decided the Mopar needed to stretch her legs a bit, as I've been working late at work and she hasn't left the garage since last Sunday. So, I head to Starbucks for a cup o' joe, then decided to take a tour of Eastlake... I'm heading North on Heritage, towards Otay Lakes Rd. I come to the intersection and set up for a right hand turn at a red light. I stop... when what catches my eye? A silver GTO that is making a left turn onto the road I'm on. FYI: This isn't a race story, so don't be too disappointed. I can see the driver looking in my direction... I hear some decent bass coming from somewhere... it must be from the GTO. Hmmm... I think to myself "this guy thinks he's all that in his Pontiac". I knew all too well there was ZERO chance for a race (as we were perpendicular to one another on opposite sides of the road). Regardless, I wanted to be sure he knew his place on the 'mean' streets of Eastlake, 'cause this shits owned by the EQ, bytches!!! So I pull out, heading towards the GTO and make a rather sharp turn in his direction so that I'm now pretty much parallel with him, but going in the opposite direction, with a center divide between us. He knows I'm there. I'm in autostick, rolling around 20 mph... I NAIL IT! Let's just say that 50 degree ambient temperatures do wonders for our cars... my car has NEVER gotten THAT squirrely. Smoke. Fishtailing/counter steering. And the unmistakeable defeaning ROAR of a SRT8 mated to a set of Zoomers erupts next to this guy. Everyone around must have thought I was insane... but most importantly... the driver of the GTO! Get out my hood! *So, EQ members and local residents: if you make the right hand turn off Heritage onto Otay Lakes, look for some patches.
I was thinking the same thing... but...I'll make a slight detour on my way home from work this morning to see if Momo actually laid down some skid marks...besides maybe in the drawers....
Crap, I thought this was a 'race' thread. lol. You bully! Feels good though doesn't it? I love these cars.
You know... as soon as I finished with my shenanigans, I thought to myself: "Momo... you didn't even think to look around for a marked unit before you pulled that stunt". I'm off today (worked last weekend), and the wife wants to run errands... I'll be heading up that way myself... hopefully, I'll be able to take a pic if traffic allows. Those patches better be there... although, what I've noticed is that when colder, my patches seem to be more faint. Is it because the tires are 'harder' when cold?!?!
MOMO I didn't know you wanted that to get out bro! Welcome to our weekly meetings and those moments when MOMO brakes down and cries for an hour. Takes up the whole dam meeting.........
Well....I drove by there this morning.....Sorry, Momo...no dice. Street looked clean....well, as clean as Telegraph can look, anyways.
nice watch out for a red GTO in SD used to be blown now hes twin turbo I had a Mudstain on my tail last night older cobra clean car but well he got schooled :smart: lol
NO SHIT! I did too. I went to Drew's house (he buffed/de-scratched my car) then took a fly by that intersection... WTF?!?! The car was SPINNING... WTF?!?! I thought FOR SURE there'd be some rubber down. Something's amiss. And I don't lie... especially when the story doesn't even involve a race, but rather me being as ass. I'm perplexed. Sorry folks. There's no proof.
momo - nothing unusual about that. i have spun the tires many a time on a cold morning and not even left but a faint discernable mark on the road.
Thanks Chris. I was worried that I imagined the whole thing. I've built up some street cred and didn't want to harm it! Exactly why I did it. Freakin' GMs in EQ's neighborhood! WTF?!?!
Nope... no patch... except for the patch of hair Momo had made and sitting on the fake head next to his sink...
For a second I thought I'd need to move this to the VIP Lounge, Momo using the word "FORCE" and all. :erm: Anyway, way to wave your wang around and uh, I guess the SRT makes even LEOs misbehave, huh? :hmm: :aggressive:
Kinda......Otay Lakes starts at the next intersection down. Heritage connects to Telegraph Canyon.... *edit* Rick beat me too it.....I should really read all the way to the end before replying.
