Hmm. My only concern would be damage to the paint on the hood due to the heat coming off the engine bay...but I guess you guys would know living in sunny Cali.

I did a lot of research on the heat issue before doing it. The bottom line is guys have been doing it on other cars for years without issue. Also, the liner is not designed to protect the hood from heat....it is a noise muffler. Trimming away the plastic air ducts a little would be easy though if you're worried about it.

If you want to remove the hood liner, I wouldn't worry about the paint on the underside of hood ... it's durable and I've never seen paint damaged there from engine heat ... and we've got some HOT engines around here.

Here's how I had to cut out from under the hood.
Also the Strut Bar installs easier if you lift one side of the car until one wheel comes off the ground. I found the bolts lined up better.

Awesome stevo! Not only is it a great performance mod it's a great visual one too. When you get it go get it powder coated Torred and you'll be extremely happy you did. Pop off the dc sports tag first and put something else on after it's painted (I used the srt8 badge but I have some stickers and decals I almost used and still might). Only thing that sucked for me is I'm not able to use the BT strut cover kit anymore that has cool polished black aluminum covers for the struts and strut bolts. It's mostly cause of the mopar coilovers though since they don't have much thread on top.

Great service,UPS delivered mine about an hour ago.I have a couple of questions before installation. The instructions say "using a jack, lift the front of the car until the weight of the car is not supported by the springs." Can this be done one side at a time? and do the tires need to be off the ground? I also noticed that the mounting flanges are not flat,They are angled up on the outside of the part that the bars are welded to. Are they supposed to be like that?
