Tells me if you can't run more than that on 110 octane something else is triggering knock.....or your bringing in total timing at too low an RPM.

I tested 14 B&G CMR tunes (trying to figure out the 2wd issue) in December alone. Timing was at 30-31 degrees for all of them (93 oct.) and the most ST KR I ever saw was 4.0 degrees--most of the time I was at 1.5 or less. This is with different brands/tanks of gas as well.
My Jeep makes more hp/tq than any other stock longblock Jeep SRT8 I know of (401/400rw SAE with cats and email CMR from Dave), I fully expect to see another 6-8rw after my tuner (Don LaSota/author of the SCT/Diablo tuning manuals) straps mine down on his dyno and has at it.
When it comes to engines Indy=Kmart, which pretty much answers that question. They have 500CI engines running mid 11s all over the country.

Stockers have 24 degrees, what else needs to be said.

Nothing really. Let another tuner have a crack and then you'll have some viable data to compare. 110 octane is wholly unecessary on a 10.3:1 motor. Like Erik said, something else is going on.

Thanks. I haven't seen a 5.7's internals, I was just brainstorming about possible differences between Trojan's motor and all the SRTs.

110 octane was a precautionary not really a necessity. Stock timing is not 24, try 18-20.

Well the topic all started with a question about whether the PR&D pulls were datalogged........so was the datalog #'s on the PR&D heads or were they just the baseline #'s before you changed the heads?

here are the stock timing tables. You hit 24 at the very end, but you can hardly call that 24 degrees across the board.

"Removed to make sure Im not pissing Diablosport off. lol."

100 octane would be precautionary, 110 is leaded overkill.

Did I say across the board? I said a max of 30-31 degrees--no mine doesn't run that high across the board it drops as low as 26 degrees in the midrange. Your stock table shows a max of 26 degrees, and yet you claim 24 is optimal.

You obviously do not know hos to read that. At WOT, there isnt anything higher than 24.5

You're right, my bad. I wasn't reading WOT. Still 24.5 is higher than 24.

At WOT your only using the top cells GotStroke?

How come the vendors don't have a problem with the test, the process, the whole deal. BTW they all call ALL the time and everyone of the vendors and Josh have no issues with any thing. In the end the whole community will benefit because alot, in fact a whole lot of other things have been learned that hasn't been discussed here. Until you personally dyno tune these cars with CMR and see with your own eyes then you really cant say.

Are you implying that a 91 or 93 perf tune from Diablo has 30 degrees of timing at WOT? I really don't care how many cars another tuner has tuned. I know how to tune and that's all I need to know. BTW I like how you drop names like it's supposed to be important.
