I don't believe there is any 1/4 mile timed runs set up for the Spring Festival. Last I heard it was some spirited straight line racing. Fontana is doing something that weekend, looks like you can race for $20 on Sunday.

Yea I cant wait until the offical annoucment on the track stuff btw - Gilgamesh I belive its around the 15th of March, I drove out last year from the DC area. That was quite a bit of fun. Trojan has a tow strap in his car that he will through out to you at the 900 foot mark to tow you across faster.:woot:
El Toro is not a regular dragstrip. It's a decommissioned airstrip. We'll prep it as best we can with what limited funds are available. Full timing equipment has been ordered for the event. Please don't expect a professionally-run drag strip though. Expect a full day of fun and games for everyone, beginners and pros alike. To be honest, we could use some of you pros to help run the drags, if anyone is interested. Ozzie's SpeedFest will feature a professionally designed, timed autocross for everyone to test their driving skills to the max as well. Challenge yourself or a buddy. Put your ride through its paces and take it as far as its handling (and your driving) capabilities will allow. All in a safe and sane environment. The only damage you could do is, maybe, kill a safety cone. This is a great course for everyone, beginners and advanced drivers alike. This course is suitable for race-prepped cars and the average daily driver as well. There will be lots of prizes , giveaways and more! Details should be posted this week. Just waiting for confirmation on a few things. All Mopar rides are welcome. :thumb2:
There will be PLENTY of room to slow down. But if you really serious pros want to get it on, you might want to consider an alternative venue. Unlike last year's California Speedway event, which at first glance looked a bit intimidating (thus keeping a lot of folks away) we're holding a grassroots event this year, designed to introduce more folks to performance driving.
