I finally got a chance to get in for a CMR tune and I was pleasently surprised. For those of you who don't know, I built my engine with forced induction in mind (Specifically a turbo). It is a PPP 426 stroker with compression lowered to 9.4 to 1. It also has a PPP turbo cam. I have been running a B&G stage 4 flash since getting the engine together last summer. I put 500 miles on it and dyno'd it with the following results: There has always been more power in there. (just look at that A/F) After spending an afternoon at GSM I ended up with this. The first run is the first attempt after ditching the B&G and the 2nd run is what we ended up with at the end of the day. I haven't had a chance to really test out the new power because it has been raining, but I hope to real soon. Thanks again to Scott for working his magic and Jay for providing the entertainment.
Wow Roy, those numbers are certainly impressive concidering your low compression. Can't wait for the Turbo to go in. hehe
Wow, a point of compression really kills the power. Thats more like stock 6.1 block power with Cam/heads/etc. But as you said, add the turbo and look out! Good luck with the Turbo build!
yes siiiiiiiiiir. However, with the lower compression, one can compinstate 4 fold from loss of power by upping the boost. hehe
Nice numbers GSM on the tune,, we did his original B&G tune for a forced induction pkg that is why it is rich we added extra fuel for that reason..
Congrats Roy Good meeting you yesterday. I wish i could have hung around but my son was tired of hanging there the last two days and tuning on my Jeep that morning. Congrats on the power increase, 30hp and 21tq......nice! Steve
