Official Tampa Bay and it's neighbors trend

Its cool. I'm stepping down. My plans were to plan out the whole year between dyno days, picnics, regular meets and so fourth to keep us all together and having a good time. Unforunately, I will not be planning another dyno meet nor any meets from this point forward. I tried and it didn't even go as I planned it would.

Everyone was wanting another dyno day sometime in Feb-March after the last one and wanted it some where else. Dyno Day setup for Feb in which I even opened to ALL SRT's... and what happen to those who where so enthused about having another one?

Like I was told today by someone... SRT-4's seem to be the next dying off breed next to the DSM's. Few (5 if that) show effort in making it to meets, few show effort in trying to get a meet together, few show effort in anything related to this car. For not owning the car that long I can stand back and see it. Last great meet I went to was the Orlando Picnic. I don't know what's wrong with SRT-4 owners over here and there's plenty of them.

Orlando has a meet weekly in which they have a good/great turnout. While us... what do we have? Me and Ozzy usually the one's who go to every Saturday meets now... everyone else is busy drinking and partying.

Look at the TBSG SRT meet on Sunday's that is no longer because of lack of interest. Ozzy and I were there for almost every single one. I think I may have missed maybe 1 or 2 during the weekly/bi weekly fiasco. But I guarentee Ozzy was there for every single one. But the monthly one... Ozzy and I were there and tried showing as much support as possible. That meet ended up dying off which sucked.

A meet is mentioned and everyone shows high spirit and it looks to be a great turnout then all of the sudden close to the meets time everyone starts to back away and not show up.

It takes time and effort to put some meets together and it made me look bad when I had to cancel it today. Especially when I've been trying to keep that day reserved but only 5 people signed up including myself. So that's only 4 people + me.

Sorry for the long rant but it just upsets me the way things are trickling down.

I miss the way it was and I miss the way the weekly meets I go/used to go to were. Seems no one cares now.

 

sorry i couldn't sign up for the dyno. $$$$$ this month is extremely scarce for me.

 

Its cool Ozzy. I understand situations. I wasn't trying to get on anyone's case. I just know if I need your help with something or count on you for something your there.

I respect your opinion and your views and I agree with a lot of them. But I will make this comment and its a general as a whole comment so don't take it as its towards you because its not. Some who do have a family, sometimes use that as an excuse but have time to go to drinking fiasco's and parties with friends. Some can tell me I'm wrong but there's one incident which is in my head that it took place just as. Which doesn't make sense to me. But I totally agree family comes first.

Schedules... work schedules... I understand. Not all of us revolve our lives around these cars or this hobby... I understand. Hell I can't make it to the Wed (which no longer exist) nor Friday night meets because of my work schedule. But I sure try to make it to the Saturday night meet... rain, cold, etc. I still go.

I only have (1) day/night to go out and have a good time. So believe me I know. I was just making a general statement.

BTW, its not that I want everyone to make it to every meet every week. But I haven't seen some people in months, they appear here and there once in a while.

What goes on in everyone's lives is none of my business. Just making a general statement because at one point EVERYONE was able to make it and made the effort to make it. Now its like... whatever... even if they have nothing else planned.

I'll keep doing what I've been doing and going to meet(s) I can attend.

i feel you juan, i for one was lookin' forward to the dyno day seeing as how i don't make it out much any more. its not lack of interest, its just hard makin time between work and the vageen

btw....i know the dyno day is canceled but.....why did i get a text from Orlando of all people saying there's a dyno day on feb 16!??

 

OMG my car sounds like shit......my O2 housing is ready to break.....thank god i ordered my maxxfab one already......i just hope this stupid MPx crap holds up till i get it......

Yeah I got the same text which pissed me off. Because I called and spoke to the general manager and cancelled the event. Then another guy from there that works there called me wondering information on it to get it going. I told him I cancelled it already that I called earlier and spoke with the general manager. He said well I'll call you back to see what can be worked. I told him well its already cancelled and I told people it was that its too late now. So I guess he got a hold of Orlando to get more people. Which I find rude after the fact I told him I cancelled it. I'm the one who setup the event and spoke with the GM.

It's cancelled and I told Orlando that already.
