Finally got my Elite catch can so I installed it so I could get my SRT8 back on the road.

I mounted the catch can on the Mopar CAI heat shield, routed all the tubing and tie wrapped it to the electrical plastic tubing. I got to tie up some loose ends tommorow but all in all im done, came out pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Some pics of the catch can front and back mounted before it went back into the engine bay.

Also the catch can sits under the PCV so no oil will not gravitate back into my intake, the catch can also is right by where the stock intake took air from so it should stay rather cool. I did not want to mount it close to any of the heads.

There are some pics and pics of my breather tube filter which im really like.

I've was going to order the Elite catch can as well but still haven't got around to it. I'm glad you like it and thanks for the pics and description Tony. I'm curious to know how easy it is to drain as well.

I choose Elite over the others by just asking gear heads (ERIK) who they prefer. And as for draining of the catch can, I know the pics really dont show it but right by where the CAI and Stant cap are there is enough room for me to get my arm in there and twist the bottom of the catch can and remove it with ease.

Thank god for cell cameras!

    Thanks Andy. :beerchug:

    Thanks Andrew. :dancing:

Looks great Tony. It's amazing how much oil these things catch.

Tony, get an empty oil container or something like that. Measure or whatever each time you empty but save it in the container and keep a running count of total miles. It's tough to get good measures with a small quantity like "a teaspoonful" but if you get a larger quantity over a larger number of miles we'll get a lot better data.

3000 miles between oil changes and on mine I get enough oil to fill 3/4 of a spray paint can cover wich I use to collect it from underneath. That's a lot !

    Thanks!

It fits 3/8" to 1/2" ID, standard filter for breather lines.
