The following will help explain how I was able to beat a 911 GT3 (See the following thread for a refresher): http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1745&highlight=Porsche OK, I nearly shat myself. I know that the onboard 0-60 timers aren't 100%, but even so, this is NUTS even if its remotely close! About 60 degrees outside, give or take: A car that weighs in at approx. 4400 lbs., with no major mods, can accelerate like a bat outta hell. My previous best was 4.62, before the Predator with the 91octCAI tune.
Could you make that picture any bigger! Hal won't even need his glasses to see that time.........................:yahoo: Check out my post, but give me a few minutes........................
The research done after the above GT3 encounter puts that car at around the same 0-60 as the one I posted... so we're closer than I expected on that day 'it' went down. Who'd have thunk! BTW: Isn't it funny that we start referring to a car(s) that hit 60 in like 5 seconds as mediocre?!?! I remember thinking a stock GTA hitting 60 in 7.1 was blazing fast back in the early 90's! Steve, its one of the nice little touches that the 07 has, a 0-60 timer. I highly suggest using it. While not 100% accurate, its close, and allows for you to 'practice' launching while providing immediate feedback as to how you're doing... all without having to go to a track. I did 5 runs that night and never went above a 4.34 0-60. What I started to notice was that I was listening to the tires to determine the launch quality.
Momo didn't tell you he had a 300 pound fat check in the passenger's side and was on a 23 degree downgrade.... supprised he didn't break the 4.0 barrier...
