all anyone knows about this move is that it's some kind of monster movie and there's a virus involved. other than that we're all stumped lol. it's made by jj abrams/bad robot who are the people responsible for lost. the movie has nothing to do with lost apparently but the show is amazing so i can't see the movie being bad. i've been waiting to see this movie since i saw the first trailer during transformers :)

It's done by JJ Abrams (Lost, the upcoming Star Trek movie) and you're right stevo, it's basically a monster movie, something like Godzilla, only the catch is it's done exactly as you see in the commericials, on video. Kinda like Blair Witch Project. It's taken from the perspective of those few people caught up in all of it and have no idea what's going on, not from the side of the president or the military or the one man saving crew, just some poor average joes caught up in it all. I think it's totally cool, a completley different take on a type of movie we've all seen a million times. I can't wait!

I want to go see this movie too...been looking on the web for more info...it's getting good reviews (for those that have seen it, guess they have connects).

AVPR was pretty good, ending sucked, gory, no one won, but Predator was kickin ass

Don't get your hopes up too much. If you liked the type of movie like Blair Witch Trial... you'll like this one. SE's are pretty cool I guess.

I'm going sat morn with my brother, we got some real good big theaters here with HUGE screens and AWESOME sound! :yahoo: It's the only way I'll spend $10 to see a movie anymore, these stupid multiplexes now are no bigger than my home theater!

This is one movie that you don't want to see on DVD. You need to "feel" part of the movie with a lot of bass from the subs on the big screen.

Yea, we only got 2 really BIG theaters here now but they're both awesome. Really great sound as well as huge screens, it's the only way I'll see a movie anymore. Those small theaters just ruin it for me.

You have any big theaters down there bro? Seems like they're all being wiped out in favor of the damn multiplexes. :shok: I'm praying that day never comes for the 2 we have left.

    Rottentomatoes.com gives pretty good reviews.

Cloverfield has been from a 4/10 to a 8/10 depending on the amount of critics.

I personaly think it will be worth watching just because the hype, and its a 'monster' flick.

    True.

I like action, adventure, monster, etc...

If its in your genre, then its worth taking a shot. All I heard is sit far away (might apply for IMAX as well). It's dizzying.
