Our company participated in a "extreme makeover" of a home here in the Twin Cities. The project went really well and aired last fall. Sounds like another deserving family, do you know these folks or the builder? Excuse if this is a dumb question, but it is just a link in your post with no explanation. Thanks!

I'm going to assume he posted it because of the location. It appears that 1bad4dr lives in the same city...

Yesterday at my work, there was an Albuquerque police officer that i was talking to. He had told me that he took an overtime shift for the demo taping of the show. Also, a kid that I work with has a friend who is involved with the cooridination.

We do not know the family, but apparently they are having a church rebuilt as well as 2 or 3 homes..... It is located in a part of town that is mostly condemmed.

Thanks Ron, we had about 40 volunteers show up at 2:am until 7:pm, 17 hours, we installed new windows, entry doors, siding, soffit, gutters and replaced roofing. They have big lights on the house, inside and out, work goes round the clock. The police are there 24/7, the neighbors all get offered rooms and meals, because of the 24/7/ noise. It was fairly well organized, but the folks connected with the program, can be lacking. All of the materials and labor are donated, some regret it later, but our teams were happy to participate. We cannot use the "Extreme Logo" sign without payment of $70,000.00, so we are not exactly sure how it ended up in some of our advertising. We have received a lot of good will and some decent jobs off the marketing, so all in all it was worth, but we would not do it again, mostly because the show producers treated us unfairly after the show, by not doing the things they said they would for the original prices quoted. The builder who actually organized the project, would also not do it again, I would need to get the details from my brother as to why. If you get a chance, show up for the show, it moves really fast, a lot of neighbors were out front in lawn chairs with kegs.!!!:drunk:
