I think the main fitment issue with the hammer that they had to work out was getting up against the radiator brace straight out from the throttle body.
highly recommend it!! you can really here the car sucking in air with the k&n...... fits the area better as well!!! oh, and no, i do not have anything against red......hell, i can't see it anyway!!!! hahahahaha
You can't see red huh, that's a shame. So you like the "sucking" you get from the filter huh?? I say you fit right in with the EQ, hahahhahahahaa :thongue2:
i am replacing my mopar cai with an afe filter because it is blue and just wanted to try this brand of filter out. the filter should be here by friday and then it gets installed. anybody know anything about this filter vs. other brands. thought i would give them a try. i talked with one of their engineers and they say that they are a little better filter than k&N. there company was started from what i was told when a couple of guys left k&n to start their company due to k&n beginning to use lower grade materials??? what do you guys think?
My Mopar CAI filter was blue when I got it (it turned grey shortly after that). AFE makes a fine CAI for our cars. I'd expect their filter elements to be top of the line as well. K&N is top of the line too. My feeling is that any of the quality filters will function well. Some may flow a tiny bit better than the others but I think it borders on being insignificant. As to what AFE told you... Call K&N and ask them the same question. I would guess it likely you will get a similar answer. I think it was maybe a year and a half or 2 ago that someone did a fairly good, informal test of filtering efficiency of some of the popular filters back then. Think it was on lxforums. He was focusing more on how much dirt they caught and a bit less on flow. No, I don't remember the results but I would have been OK having most any of them in my car.
very funny..... you sir, are an azz...... do it and be banned!!!! quit egging him on.... i have my ways people....... gotten this far in life without seeing color, your pathetic attempts will not stop me!!!!! muhahahahaha
magic.... i hear good things about these filters....... i did the k&n due to knowing they are good and the color matched the engine bay better....
Great mods Chris. Everything you did looks SICK!!! Are you going to bring that "Bad Boy" out to Irvin in March? Ken
