Well, this weekend has been a good one so far for modding!!!! - installed new k&n air filter (part # rf-1032), onto my existing mopar cai (can actually hear the motor sucking air now) - had exhaust redone with two 3", wide open magnaflow muffs w/3" tubes all the way back (part # 11229). car has a MUUUUCH deeper sound and much better throttle response!! the tools that did it before actually used 2 1/4" tubing in areas that i was not aware of!!!!! talk about a butt plug!!!! :mad2: - installed my new xenon hids into my existing projector/halo headlights. wow, what a difference!!! (9006 headlights / 9005 fogs.... see marcel at total lighting solutions) - installed my new gorilla lug nuts to replace the POS stock units that were f'd up (summit racing part # gor-71147) - swapped my red brembos out with a neighbor i met last week who just got a red jeep srt, for his black ones. first black charger i have seen with black brembos!!!! woo-hoo!!! all in all, the cars sounds good, stops good, sees good, and overall is looking even better!!!! what a great weekend for modding!!!!!
Congrats Chris....I did the same with my exhaust taking out the bottle necks....2.75 joints.................as far as the K&N filter..thumbs down based on my last 2.......hope you have better luck..:friends:
no, no..... just replaced the actual filter element. my original mopar one got very f'd up and i put on another POS. it did not flow at all as i recently found out after some "non-scientific" testing. put on a big K&N cone shaped filter on my mopar cai.!!! never get rid of my mopar...... love my flames man!!!!
larry - i just swapped the filter..... i still have my actual mopar cai..... never get rid of that!!!! just the pos filter i had on it!!! hehehehe
yep!!! only difference was the pin for the bracket on the rears. just pop it out and swap it between calipers...... super simple. take ya longer to bleed the brakes!!!
I have a few favors to ask 1. PICTURES 2. Model # on the Mufflers I am going the magnaflow route but do not want to buy the Cat-back, just want some Mufflers and have a shop bend the rest.... Thank You
magna flow "wide open" series muffler 3" in/out part # 11229 pics will come when it stops raining and i can take my nice clean car outside!!! hehehe little bit of drone, but wow, nice and deep sounding. i had magnaflow muffs before, but they were 2 1/2 in/out and the rest of the tubing was a mish mash of crap that the last shop did!!! way better now with 3" tube all the way back. ahhh bite me dave....you and your friggin part #'s.... ahahahahahahhaha actually buddy, i am waiting for the rain to go away for the pics.....
video capabilites suck and the hid's show best at night...... ummm, well yeah, ok, so it is dark right now, but it is raining and my car is clean in the garage!!! hahahahah
