Well thank god the Pueblo isn't cruising around out there....You can't just open fire because your the CO... You have to report to the SOPA (Senior Officer Present Afloat.. Typically he (or She) is on the bigger boat and no where near your location. The Sopa has to report your situation to the Task group Commander who then has to report to CinC Pac/Lant (put your fleet here) and he has to report to the Pentegon and so fourth. Then the President (if not golfing or in the case of Hillary entertaning guests (male/female) when contacted has to give the OK to blast them lil bastards. This of course takes time (ask Cmdr. Buchler) and well do I need say more.
So if you just balsted them all without the requisite aformentioned protocol and said they fired at you first...would you still be in deep shit?
