Wow! Were you a child prodigy when you were little M? From my understanding you just got hooked up with this program lol. In that image I see several different layering techniques (maybe 1 though) and some gaming with opacity levels. NICE work sis!
Practice makes perfect! Good job so far! Photoshop has so many effects/features and variety of mind driven ideas that your just always learning. That's what I love about the program. Keep it up!
The Statue of Liberty was really easy!! After the cut out and background added in it was just a matter of playing with a few lens effects!!! I have not read the users manual.... over 500 pages! I am not that patient!!! So, I just started playing!!! :grin:

Yup, been there and didn't do that either lol! Just play and keep playing with it....it's more fun that way anyways. Took me forever to learn how to use the damn lasso tool in a point-to-point manner and not just freehand. Still didn't read the instructions haha. It may help though. :bang:
