    Ahhh hahahahahahaha!!!

I must admit, I've half-tracked a Honda Civic and a stock Mitsubishi Eclipse in the 1/4 mile.

On the other hand, I was at a friday night practice for a sportsman class bracket race the next day, and they actually lined up the rail dragsters right along with the door-slammers like me.

I was crapping my pants. I thought "hey - it's not safe!! You can't line me up against that!!!"

The race was after dark, and he literally vanished into the darkness in an instant. I've never had a view like that before. Usually you're in the stands and the track is all lit up. This time, my 7.7 second 1/8th mile time was about as slow as his 1/4 mile time. He was literally out of sight in about 3 seconds.

maybe this is just me...but when you push buttons to the point that all you have to really do is pin the gas to the floor and hold on...to me at least...thats not really "racing"...the car is doing all the work for you...with our cars for example...you have to actually be able to get your car to hook up by feel of the car and not cause you pushed buttons...

    just some thoughts...
